macs are gay...i use macs in school, like i am right now and half of the shit neither runs as fast or works as well as on my PC. oh, by the way, Comadore 64's rule. i have one hooked up to my TV right now...

when i was 1 year old my dad shoved me in front of a comadore and taught me the command Load'*',8,1 so i could play Ernie's Magic shapes. i had all the original games, Zork, Load runner, the Pac Man's, Ect.

my dad was the head of a comadore user group and newsletter,and he fixed them for people, so companies would give him shit. we had a modem and were on the internet in 1985. well...it wasent much of an internet then as it was BBS's and such, but its all good.we still have like 15 of them and all the games and phrephrials.

We have a dual 867mhz mac here at school with the 22 inch studio LCD display, it's one of the fastest computers I have ever used. It blows away any pc that I have used for video editing, graphics, etc.

I like the old Macs, like the old Performas. Nowadays though, I prefer Windows 98. I have nothing against new Macs though, i've just never really used them.

if i was into vid editing n then i would consider a mac. since im not i strongly perfer a pc. macs are way too expensive, and the performance just doenst justify the amount of money u have to spend to get a good one.

I prefer windows over mac personally, i'd actually be using linux right now if I didnt have a stupid winmodem..but some people swear by macs, so my opinion on windows is just that..an opinion.

i like macs. my imac works sooo facking fast with itunes when it connects to my ipod! firewire baby. takes like 5 sec to put on a whole cd. very few games tho.

if I had a mac I wouldnt be able to play most of the games i do, lol...

im building a modest setup right now, infact just ordered some parts

Athlon XP 2100+
1024 mb RAM
ATI AiW 8500 graphics
Abit KR7-RAID mb
Black case with neon lighting and window :-)

I was raised with mac and I use both, new macs at school, pc at home...

At my shcool all the teachers have I books, and a pc in the class and a projector for the mac, and we MIGHT get them next year, pretty cool.. Id use mine for a bit of work and DV

Well, we use Windows 98 and I find Macs really hard to use but as far as the companies and founders go, I like Apple better. Pirates of Silicon Valley is a sweet movie. Yes, so anyway.

I forget the speed of the DVD drive, it's fast.

It's a bad ass computer, however I would rather have the dual mac.

as for hardware i perfere pcs, becuase there superior in upgradeplity and i know more about pcs then macs. As for software, i just dont like windows, linux is where its at.

let me expand a bit on my rig, im building it primarily for photo and video editing, but with a strong secondary motive of gameplay, and game editing.

the 1024 MB of DDR ram is because I will be video editing, I will be running dual 60 Gig 5400 rpm hard drive in RAID configuration. I will eventually buy a GeForce 4 ti 4600 for graphics. Im going to have a 21inch monitor, and run a small 15 inch for video preview and such. Im in school and this computer im on like freezes everytime I type a word, so ill continue later...

I've only got 128 ram so it's kinda useless with a 1.8 but I'll fix that soon enough.

the 5400 rpm drive is for mp3 and large backed up crap like the zillions of simpsons episodes I have. Everything runs off of the faster 12,500 drive, all the stupid data that doesn't neeed the quick drive is thrown on the 80.
