Before I start the thread, I searchbarred many different combos of possible thread names so don't bust my balls.

Okay, I'm curious to know what tricks people have learned this season and what tricks you guys are trying. It looks to me from what I've seen that everyone I know is progressing rapidly so I figured I would ask NS how everyone else is doing as well.

As for myself, this being my first full year in the park, I have just worked on getting more comfortable on jumps and rails/boxes so I haven't learned many physical tricks aside from some new rail stuff.

If you're just going to be a bitch and whine about how people have already made threads like this, fuck off, I haven't seen any for this season.

ive got 3's down late 1's gonna try and 5 tomorrow maybe. i started rails this years. i can get on normally, i can switch off and norm off. and im gonna try and get 270 off. and i have backside switch up down on M boxes

Bunch of rail tricks I could already do I got on lock grabs with spins 9s 10s Rodeos up to 7 Flats up to 7 Corks Switch 5s Misty up to 7 Not scared of big jumps anymore (50+) which is one of the best things actually That's all I can remember....

This is my first year of dedicated park skiing.  I was more of a pow/tree/steeps/natural terrain type guy before.

So far this season I have learned how to slide:

Culverts
Flat boxes
PVC rails
C boxes

By the end of this season I want to add:

DFD boxes
Trap boxes
UF boxes
FD boxes
FDF boxxes
DF boxes
Flat rails (shot gun and flat bar)
Mellow down rails

So far this season I have learned how to hit jumps better, but still have yet to throw a spin off of one.  At least I can hit them properly now and don't mind bigger jumps anymore.

By the end of this season I want to add:

3s

at the end of last year i could 3 and 5, skide most boxes and rails.... now i can 7 swith 1 and 3, lincoln, back flip, front flip, rodeo 5 and 7, flat 5 and 7, misty 5 and 7, cork 7 and 9, and dub back.... i want to get dub cork this season

just started park this year...but haven't really been able to go up much at all this season...so i've only got down 270 on, and 180, and sketchy 360's....sometimes switchups

Anything with kinks is amazingly fun. The feeling of accomplishment when you first get a sick DFD or something is awesome. Keep workin on it, it'll be worth it!

i want to get switch 5's with grabs other than safety and also switch 7's. andi  really wanted to try cork 7's this year but i tried them on an airbag and i cant fucking spot them for shit. i have them so stomped on tramps though i dont get it. i tried one at the begining of the year off this little jump and completely ate it

as for me this year i have cleaned up my 7's and 9's. landed a couple tens but can't grab yet. learned front 4s and back 2's. cleaned up my rodeo 7 by adding a japan or mute. attempted my first dub rodeo but no success. congrats on the progression everyone.

So i have been mostly working my rail game this year.  I Got all 8 for the first time early season on a flat box.  I have been working on getting them on urban style rails and pretty much got them.  I have gotten way better at 270's onto urban style rails.  This weekend I got a bunch of tricks on this 20 foot down urban style culvert.  Including: Pretzel, front swap to back swap to front 270 off, front swap to back 450 out, front 630 out (all starting left foot forward), Then right foot forward front swap to pretzel front 450 out.  Pretty stoked

This winter i learned 270's on, 360's, did one 5 and one 270 on 270 off, a couple sw 270s on just in general got much more comfortable on rails and skiing switch, and slid my first urban rail successfully

I started learning inverts last year but only really got un-grabbed misty 7s. This year I got grabbed rodeo 5s and 7s. Misties and corks grabbed 5,7, and some 9s. Right side spins grabbed to 5. Worked on my rail game too.

Then this weekend I overshot a 40-50ish footer and blew both my knees and dislocated my shoulder. Now I can barley walk with braces on. Cool

I've learned 900s, cork 7s, cork 5s, and double backflips.
I tried a switch 5 once and messed up off of the lip. I need to spend some more time and learn to spin switch better. Hopefully tomorow :)

first full year in the park-
last year could do crappy fives of little jumps and slide most rails except for hand rails

now i can do-
up to 7s on big jumps
up to switch 3
added a few grabs
frontflip
backflip
front 2s and 4s off
back 2 off
switchups
kfeds on boxes
2s on
and i'm not afraid to hit huge jumps at all anymore
i really want to do corks and rodeos but i got my pass taken for the season so it will have to wait till next year

I got 5s, 7s, frontflips, consistent 270's out both ways, switch on, and then switch on to 270 out. Also a really really sketchy switch up. i also dropped by far the biggest cliff I have ever hit and stomped it. About 27ft total. I also got out of the park and skied pow and BC a lot more.

Warning, massive claim about to ensue.

Trick highlights from my season so far:

Front 450 out of a single barrel down rail.
270 pretz 270 on a flat box.
Switch in toes over on down features setup street style.
Switch in front 450 out of an elbow flat bar.
Blind 270's. (May not sound like much but I spin left and am left foot forward so frontside stuff is really easy for me, but blind is really hard.)
Shifty'd zero's.
Shifty 3's/shifty 4's on hips.
Pretty much every variation you can think of when going left foot forward and front swapping, front swap to:
Ollie, Nollie, Shifty, Blind 270, Blind 450, Front 270, Nollie Blind 270, Nose Tap Blind 270, Ollie Shifty etc.


I was trying to get front 630 out of this tall c box/rail thing at my home mountain yesterday, but couldn't get past 540 before I hit the ground.


It's been a good season, and hopefully if all goes like last year I will be skiing till late July.

Reading this thread makes me feel like a total N00B.  I gots no skills.  This year I learned Blind 270 off and got pretty comfortable with metal.  Always hated metal rails before.  Learned a switch 3 and a hand drag 3.  Got the guts up to Zero a few smaller hits.  I also tried a bunch of new features I had never tried before.  C, Battleship, S, Rainbow, Skinny Flat Down Box, Up Flats, bonk off of rail.   Tried a Lincoln but it ended up being more like an D Spin 7.

rail game wasn't at what i would like. Can do 2sev FS BS out.

Jump Game. 1s, 3s, 5s, 7s, w/ mute or tail. Flat 3s/5s with Japan. Still Can't get Rodeo it plagues me. Lincoln, Back/Frontflip done. Switch spins are something that I really need to get down.

summer setups are great for learning btw, especially with multiple rail options

unnatural blind and front 2 off

blind swaps

solid kfeds

and makin' shit steeezy

also trampolines for learning corks and inverted shit

misty five seven nine, cork five seven nine, d spins, backs fronts lincolns

still working on rodeos, weird rotation for me and woudl appreciate some help on where to throw/grab when first learning. same for flatspins and bios

I got my 360's clean and slow finally with a grab on bigger jumps. I practiced my 5's but always lost my balance. I also tried backflips in the park and landed it somehow?!

i have been in the park for two years, so far:

front 2 off

back 2 off

front swaps

threes, can throw almost any grab in there

cork threes. (i gotta have a comfy jump and a pow landing, but we had allot of that this year and i landed it 4 times.

i have also become allot more comfy with big dropps. usually the first guy in my group to just balls up and huck something

go to water ramps cuz there you can try it over and over again without being scared of slamming

End of last year I could 50/50 boxes, roll over the lips of urban style park rails, and case a a 10ft jump. Now I can late 180, 360, cork360, and under flip our 35ft jump. Rails I can now lip slide, fs switchup, fs 270out on DFD, up flat down, and c-rails. I want to be able to : Do anything on a box 540 Cork 540 Backside 270 out
