theres a big difference in something like a hoody with DWR finish and maybe some kinda of special material, and a true softshell like ones that Arc'tyrex makes
i have a couple of oakley sweatshirts that have DWR finish, and arent just normal cotton. they shed water for the first couple of days, but now they basically dont do much...
I also have the backcountry.com shift welder (now the stoic lo welder i think). its fucking light, more techy, water resistant, super breathable, and just really nice. its my favorite jacket cuz it also fits pretty athleticly and looks baller
