Knee injury

i blew my knee out last week in a fluke jumping on a trampoline at woodward in copper.  first day on snow of the season and my team decided to hit up woodward after. withing the first 30 minutes of the session i was jumping from one tramp to the other and had a bad landing and dislocated my knee.  i managed to tear my ACL completely partially tear my MCL and fold my meniscus into the space between my kneecap and bone.  has anyone had a simmiliar injury? I am having surgery at the end of this week or beginning of next week.  any tips on recovery? should i even hope to be skiing in late march/april?

if i can recoment 1 thing, get an exercise bike, and just spend as much time on it as you can.

Sorry to hear.  If you're getting a full reco (what it sounds like) Then it's very unlikely you would be skiing april march.  You might want to look if they say yo uwill be able to because there are two types of recos you can get.  One where they reattach the ACL quite loosely leaving you with a shorter recovery time, but the ACL continues to stretch over time especially if you are putting a lot of pressure on it (ie skiing) and you will need to get another one in a few years time. Or Type 2 they put it on very tight and you have to stretch it out yourself, longer recovery time but is better in the long run, mainly used for high level athletes. 
Just do lots of physio, try and build your muscles up as much as you can before the surgery and as much as you can after.  You will need the biggest platform you can get to ski again as soon as you can. Also don't let the muscles just wither on your other leg work that out as well. Good Luck

i just found out that i'll be having my meniscous re atached tomorow and my acl and mcl in january which is nice because the doctor said i will be walking next week with  a brace. thanks for the +++vibes!

yeah man i had surgery on my torn ACL about 5 months ago, and i had a total reconstruction on my knee.  my doc said i was lucky becuase i had so much muscle built up (soccer over the years builds up shit loads of leg muscle.) all over that i would have  a somewhat speedy recovery time.  Asoon as i could i was out on my bike soing 8 miles a day of lots of hills and flats so you give the knee a good workout.   And from the day of my surgery, i was cleared to play full contact soccer in only 4 moths.  doc said it was super rare to see how fast i healed up, so dont get your hopes up that high dude.  but yeah this blows dude know what ya went through.  but just keep goin and workin that knee, everyday allday.  if you do want to ski at the end of this year, the chances are slim but possible.
