the salomon edge armor that they had on their skis last year was not that good. it ended up causing a lot more problems than it helped.
Ive been on this years ar6 since the end of last season and I have to say they are holding up exceptionally well. After many, many, days of hard rail use I still do not have one edge crack. However, it should be noted that with any park skis after a season of skiing rails hard your edges will crack and begin to pull out. It just happens.
I would mount them true center or -2 from center. As for maintaining your edges so you can still carve that is really up to you; sharpen them often, just make sure to leave underfoot detuned
