Pulling up at a red light...

...and knowing the other driver is high too.

Pull up in my van beside and older wagon with a roof rack and stickers. Without noticing we both instinctively give each others vehicles the one over from roof rack to winter tires and all the stickers in between.

Next you always notice the person inspecting your vehicle. Subtle similarities in the vehicles reflecting your lifestyle. Sport ready roof rack, winter tires, stickers, road dirty paint, more air fresheners then you really need. Notice the back seat folded down and a blanket tossed in the corner, and know that they have sought refuge there more then once in there night life. Im sure had I turned my bass down id of heard his too.

Next you stare straight ahead at the red light, and without even looking over you know they are doing the same thing.

Time passes by slowly.

The pulse of bass drives your heart rate up, a smile creeps across your face, anticipation creeps through your body down and out your anxious foot

the vehicle lurches forward.
He responds with the equal reaction.

Now what seems like the longest wait of all passes, anticipation built up inside you.
The light turns green and you both react within a split second.

Both vehicles lurch forward, climbing toward the speed limit, then paranoia kicks in and you both let off simultaneously then continue driving just above the speed limit,

we know more suspicion is caused by driving bellow the speed limit.

At the next lite you turn off in separate directions, never too see each other again.
For those 30 seconds, without  ever any exchange of words, you had a look into a strangers life,  which perhaps isn't so different then yours.

I pulled up to a red light once and the guy next to me was drinking beer in his car, no joke.  I called the cops and stayed the fuck away from him.  This was at like 2:30 in the morning though.

i pulled up at a red light when me and my friend were ripping a bowl. I looked to my right and there was a black guy in a mini van, he pulled up closer and smiled. I rolled down my window and asked him if he wanted a hit.haha he didnt take a hit but he was the man

i know what you are talking about.

On an unrelated note, I once pulled up to some spoiled bitch lady ( you know the type, 30, unmarried, workaholic, and thinking about purchasing a cat...) in a super nice mustang (confirming that she was a workaholic and somewhat successful, lets say real estate) and I was in my dads toyota camry. I get there, rev my engine (its a standard and i was downshifting to engine break) and she revs back. We exchange all those lurches and what not, then the light turns green and we gun it. the road continues for about 400 meters and then merges into one lane, and i dont know how, but i got up to 55-60 and beat her into the merge, and she had to suck in my exhaust until i turned off the road. She tailgated with her high beams, being the bitch she is, but i could only smile know the fact that she would be unemployed and up to her knees in cat shit in 10 years.

heres a little theory of mine. during the week, late knight night replies are usually more laid back and nice, because people are high. all the 12-14 year olds are in bed because they have to go to school the next morning. The good, usually thoughtful or clever replies continue until mid afternoon. The only people on ns are people out if school, and probably a job. Had this thread have been late night on a Friday or Saturday this would be full of hate, because of drunk 15 -18 year old people who had a bad night and have to take it out on someone. so lighten up dude

you just gotta love pulling up to a red light while smoking a blunt, and looking over to see other people smoking in some way. i usually roll down the window and have a quick chat only to drive off and never speak again. it's nice.

I love when you pull up to a light and kinda glance over and theres no actual "were gonna race" signal but as soon as it turns green and you push the gas a little harder than normal and you notice outt of your periff that the other car is keeping up so you give it more just to stay ahead hahaha and then when you hit like 10 over the speed limit everyone just kind of slows down.and goes about there drive.

Or just giving it to a kid who thinks he's awesome in his new scion tc.

i like where that could go. Nothing more sexy then a uniform, just puttin that out there.

If i where to have a bucket list, right at the top would be to meet someone, and without exchanging words, be drawn together into a passionate, hot, heavy kiss, and in no time at all be rolling around the room clumsily undressing each other, still heavily kissing, and you know how it ends.
Its just never like the movies. but it doesn't hurt to hope. ;p

what kind of a van do you drive? if its a dodge caravan il post pics of the best way to set it up, allowing maximum storage space with ease of access, lots of leg room in the back, subs concealed, and easy fold out bed. Gotta love vans.

haha one day we were at a red light and all of a sudden my buddys like "HEY HEY" and he rolled down his window and was like "dude i know you! i saw you heinously cut off all those pedestrians on church street this morning, you almost killed that one guy!" the dude was like "wtf you saw that? hahaha fuck them" and drove off.

Almost had this happen...

I was getting on an elevator at school... Crowd of people walks out and I lock eye contact with this fellow. I continue to wait to get on the elevator as he walks away, stops, turns around and makes eye contact again. I run into him again a week later in the commons and we again make eye contact walk up to each other and start talking. We exchange numbers cause we were both in a hurry to get to class.

Get out of class, walk to meet him and yeah... make out session in the parking lot in the way you described...

Then he tells me he has a girlfriend..........................................................


It was definitely one of the best kisses I have ever had.

the description was great...

one time, i pulled up to a light in my moms vovlo s60r (i was driving it cause my trucks alternator was broken) and there was this guy next to me a in a mustang, probably faster than my moms volvo haha, we exchange this look, and he revs his engine super loud, so i shift my car into neutral and rev mine, then i see this cop pull up behind the guy, so i keep reving and giving this guy looks and shit, trying to get him to race me, when the light turns green the guy does the most epic fucking burn-out ever, without ever noticing the cop behind him, and i just pull away from the light real slowly, the cop puts on his lights and sirens, and pulls this guy overf before he gets 500 feet up the road.
i was so proud.

Its really fun if you get three lanes at a red light and there is a car that you don't know in the middle lane and you and a buddy go into the outsides lanes and go slowly in reverse at the same time. It will then make the person int he middle lane feel like they are rolling into the intersection and start freaking out.

I know im an asshole, deal with it....
