Goggles under helmet..overtop...or no helmet at all?

I am just curious, but why did people start wearing the goggles under the helmet? Just a curiosity thing and I mean absolutely NO hate by it.

i wear it under when im skiing anywhere.
it keeps your head super toasty and it looks pretty cool

pretty much any goggle other than cheaper ones, and crowbars/splices, push your helmet up and create a gap when they are worn over (imo, and tried with multiple goggles) so i go under now, because they fit to the helmet better

With my Shiv it's not really a question. That helmet is built for toque/gogs/helmet layering. So comfy. With my g10mx it's over for sure. Probably the most prime helmet for overtop.

depends on the helmet.

helmet with lots of air vents (ex most giros) = over

helmet with not a lot of vents (most berns) = under

Giro, Bad Lieutenant. because it was impossible to wear your gogs over that helmet.

and, i wear under and over. it depends. and i ski with my helmet 98% of the time. unless im just cruising on groomers i have my helmet on,

under, or over not a huge difference to me, but deffinitely helmet all the time! they look good, they're comfy, and they're safe. why the fuck wouldnt anybody wear one?!? you're an idiot if you don't imo

crowbar straps are rather short, so i really have no choice but to rock them under the helmet

Lots of the time, putting straps over top pulls the strap too tight, and puts more pressure on the face. If you have them under then it feels super comfy because it's like wearing them over a toque. And if you have a toque under it's extremely comfy. You'd think the strap would hurt your head but usually you can't feel it at all.

And I think it also started when people wore skate helmets for a bit, and there was no goggle clip on the back on those so it was pretty much necessary to have the gogs under.
