Extortion on NS

Here is my situation. I agreed to trade a pair of PX12 bindings for some kid's ski suit on the NS buy/sell/ trade forum. I had originally offered this kid cash, but he said that we would rather trade. The kids sends me his address, and says that he will ship the suit upon receiving the bindings. I haven't been on the site very much in the last couple years, so I have no karma. The kid looked legit, so i agreed. I shipped the bindings on Sunday, and sent him the tracking number. I got a PM from him today that read...."if you want the pants and coat corduroy i sale it to you 100$ for the suit plus shipping..i really need money"... Meanwhile i'm sitting at my computer thinking....WTF?!?! Not only am I out the bindings, but the cash for shipping them as well. Short of making a house call.... what do I do?

ski gabber isnt the place for this. but keep talking to him and look back at message history etc. to see if the trade was very clear. If he fails to communicate back, call him out on NS and im sure someone in his area could try to help work something out?

and never agree to not ship at the same time

If you have never made a callout thread/dont know how, put CALLOUT: (insert ns name here) in b/s/t
ask if anyone has dealt with him before, see if there is someone in his area who can talk to him, see if you can use his address to find his name and house, if so call his ass up. Also, copy and paste your pm convo with him so everyone knows whats goin on

i hate scammers on ns, shit pisses me off so much

and whatever you do, dont give him the hundo
he has no right to race the price after you shipped, thats straight bullshit

That's pretty fucked up, you made a deal and he should stick to it. I'd start by PMing him and seeing if you could work anything out, if he can't I'd call up the shipping company and get them shipped back to you so at least you don't loose those - you may have to take the hit on the shipping though, which sucks. If you can't work anything out with him make sure you give him negative feedback so no one else get's screwed over by him like you did. Good luck bro - I hope it works out for you.

to be fair, he himself only has 27. I mean, it's still not the brightest idea, but it's not like he has 1000 post and 3000 karma with awesome feedback but it sounds like he did what he had to do if he wanted to make the deal.

I see what your getting at but you cant just say just because he only has 35 posts it automatically means you shouldnt trust him. I mean i have less then that and im a honest guy thats not gonna rip you off and shit. Im not calling you out im just saying. 

You should try and get ahold of the kid that ripped you off via email or telephone though give him a real piece of your mind

oh and it looks like this is an alias for [Julien] not to hate on him, but if you look at [Julien] feeback he and U-8 wrote the same thing [Julien] and wrote on his feedback the day U-8 joined. Kinds fishy if you ask me.

the problem is laval.

not only can you say it backwards, but -and i usually don't like to generalize- the people from there are a bunch of ed-hardy-wearing, shopping-mall-clubbing, honda-civic-with-a-fuckin-dragon-decal-and-chinese-symbols-they-don't-understand-and-a-huge-muffler-and-body-kit-thats-all-scrapped-cuz-its-so-low-it-catches-the-street-when-backing-out-of-moms-driveway-driving, cheapos that'd do that.
