Ok, here is my view:
I don't want the government forcing me to buy a health care plan.
I keep myself fit and healthy, exercise regularly and eat well. I take pro-cautions to help keep myself from getting sick.
In the past (and if this bill does not get passed) I could get an insurance package that was pretty cheap and only covered 'disasters' such as cancer, spinal injuries, and other relatively rare illnesses or injuries that are very expensive. If this bill passes, that won't be an option anymore. Instead I will have to pay more as the government is forcing me to buy stuff I don't need. Which surprisingly enough happens to be one of the reasons we decided to throw a revolution 233 years ago.
To help pay for my health care, instead of paying a large sum every month or so, I just set aside a small proportion of my income in a mix of savings and investments. This gives me the money I need to pay for the health care to take care of my bodies regular wear and tear.
Now the gov. is going to force me to spend my money on an incredibly inefficient system.
