Just bought a Hookah

Should be here in a week!

What flavours of shisha does everyone like?  I'm leaning towards lemon, grape and watermelon.

Suggestions?

Peach, Strawberry, Pina Colada, and Pomegranate are the best classics.

Also, the only Starbuzz flavor that you should get is mint, and that's only if you're more experienced, othewise, go for high quality shisha with the arabic writing on the box NOT THE STUFF ThAT COMES IN THE CAN!!

It's super oily and what you want is the stuff imported made with molasses and fruit. It'll be less cleanup and alot better flavor.

Any smoke shop should carry coals and shisha. Remember to get the smaller coals. The larger ones cause to much burning and smoke. You want something closer to steam. I like the self lighters. Faster, but don't last as long as traditional coals.

Real shisha is amazing.

I haven't smoked much hookah, but one time specifically I had mint. but what made it amazing was lacing the base with menthol drops OHHHHHMYGODDDD it was like smoking vicks vapo-rub. so mind blowing.

We mixed it with Vanilla and pot.

Another good combo is Orange and Vanilla... with ice in the base. ORGASMIC!

Make sure you get a metal screen for it. Not one that looks like wire mesh, a real metal plate with holes in it, and tabs for lifting it away easy. Once you have that, square charcoal burns exceedingly well, and makes one bowl go for a long long time. Incidents of charring the shisha never really happen to me now, as I know what the perfect amount of coal should be, as the airflow and height off the shisha are always set. Great moneysaver too, fuck foil.

I've never seen square self-lighters. And if they don't exist, I wouldn't recommend he use the square silver coals. It's just a bitch to light without a steady fire, and butane makes the coal funky.

NOOO on that silver square coal shit, NASTY.

Graduate from self lighting, those are for on the go situations. When at home, get a case of square charcoal hookah coals (BBQ grill coals and bonfire coals do work, taste rather bad though) and light them on your electric stove burner. They wont smoke or start a fire, just transfer them right to the hookah tray under the bowl and carefully take it to its final resting place. Or, you can buy a coal carrier I guess.

Trust me man, I've owned my hookah and cared for it for 5 years now since I moved to PC from Saudi Arabia. I've tried everything with my hookah, including charcoal cajun bits (lol), but when I got to the dorms, self lighters were a godsend. If he's moving his hookah to school, those are perfect for in-dorm use. The square briquettes are only good for home use and places where you have access to decent NON GAS fire.

California Dream is my flavor of choice.  And i tried one of those coal screens and it sucks, there was too much air flow.  seems with tinfoil the seal is a lot better

but one thats really good, especially during this season is chocolate mint, i know it sounds gross but trust me. a man told me this same thing once and i didnt believe him, CHOCOLATE MINT is bomb

layer of grape/cherry/raspberry, layer of ganja, layer of mango, layer of ganja, and a sprinkle of more fruit flavor on top. sit back and get stoned to fruity goodness

dude theres one douglas. just go down 21st until you see douglas and go down the hUGEEEE hill and there will be a little corner store and next to that will be a garage entrance and next to that there is a small smoke shop with dvd's right in the door. go in there... they have good stuff. and they also sell some shishas at the super store on harris.

Avalon is a generic one with jacked up prices.
The Gathering is pretty fresh and has some heady pieces.  There's a few around 21'st and by BT area.

Al-Waha makes a California Dream, which is spectacular. Guava is also really good too. Double Apple and Mint is killer. Also, Vanilla mixed with anything is great. It just turns everything to a creamy flavor. Especially Blueberry + Vanilla.

Experiment by putting new things in the glass base. 2/3 water and 1/3 milk makes for thicker smoke. Juices and brews also work well, but I always make sure there is ice in there too.
