Official Big Sky/ Moonlight thread

I'll be there from late December until closing day.  Interested to see what Moonlight does with their new park area now that the news of the death of big sky's ambush park has sunk in.  Anyway, who else is skiing at lone peak this winter.

swifty has a few things. i think its a down rail, long down rail, side kink tube, and then a colvert pipe. but challenger was so good today i didnt ride through it

big sky has a jump down near the base. i don't care for it much though, because you have to skip the first set of rails to hit it

They both have small jumps, and the one at moonlight you have to skip a couple rails to hit as well. But moonlight is blowing snow lower down, which is sweet

its also only 10-15 feet. theres bigger hits just scattered around the mountain than that.

went to moonlight yesterday, woo i forgot how much i love that place this is the first year i don't have a moonlight pass and im kicking my self in the ass it was such a good day up there!

for those wanting an update

swifty park as of thursday contained

small down rail. square

longer down rail. square.

down flat. (dfd from last year but the down broke off)

then the flat down lift tower from last year set up as a side kink to the right.

OR about a 20-25 ish? foot stepdown. real poppy and fun.

corrugated tube

OR another jump. 25-30 feet? i would guess. less poppy.

then the "swifty 2.0" park down at the bottom which is pretty much the same as before.

down box, or dfd rail, or down rail all next to each other


into polejam to butterpad thing (snowboarders only) or like a 10 foot jump, or a flat box.

then a quarterpipe with a mailbox on top.




sounds like many more features are a'comin in swifty though

My name is Alex, I was up filming with shane, cody, and aj. I had a black coat and green pants, pretty sure i've met you before. But yeah, you did a front switch up and then on the two sev out you caught an edge or something and got all flaily in the air. I was standing at the top of the rail, and it looked like you either landed on the hard pack snow with your head first or with your side and then you head. Afterwards you were just asking what had happened a whole bunch, definitely sounded like a concussion. Pretty gnarly.

No that thing is deadly to skiers...I tried it once today caught an edge and ski popped off halfway through the rail and I flew about 5 feet....That thing is dangerous.

so turns out i donnnt have to wear a sling, and i can ski if i take it easy. i just cant raise my arm above my head or fall on it, or it pops out and then i start tearing the ligaments again. bout 6 weeks till im back up to full i think
