What kind of comapny do you use for shipping? Because $69 for a hoodie and some stickers is even more than I paid for shipping on my rather heavy longboard.

Turns out the shipping to Norway is $69 even if I'm only ordering a single tee. That's just insane. I've never paid that much for shipping from the states before, so there must be a cheaper way to ship it?

The international shipping cost are way to huge compare to the other brand..
For example, a suit bought thru Saga website and shipped to Europe is less than 40$...and it's almost the same for every companies !

This is disapointing because at the very begining of the pre-order, you never mentionned that free shipping doesnt included international shipping..

Your outerwear and other gears are honestly the dopest I've ever seen, but high shipping cost are going to excluded almost every international buyer..

I hope you'll change this, you should use US Postal which is pretty efficient and cheaper than Fedex..

Hi, not buying anything, just curious. Are you sure other companies dont get the gear to customers on time due to shipping? maybe its because they are slow to ship or slow to get their product made?

Also, what if you offered different types of shipping with descriptions of how long it can take and shipping reliability. i dont know if thats a possibility. I do know that shipping stuff on ebay i sold wasn't too expensive.

being a new company i understand though how you want very good shipping with tracking numbers and what not. You have a lot going for you with the customer service and the way you take information from the ski community. This is your make or break year i bet, in terms of customer service, product, and price. If you do well this year and add more stuff to your selection, i bet next year will be sick for you.

I have to say that First Drop is not really padding their shipping. A 8lb box to Paris is standard at $90-100 USD via FedEx international air economy (3-5 business days). A great rate would be anything under $70.

Big ups to everyone who understands the deal with shipping.

The reason some companies ship late is because their stuff gets help up in customs (crappy broker, etc), and then they are just disorganized about getting it done.

The reason I want to only offer good, reliable shipping methods (like Fedex) is because this is the first year and you really only get one chance to make a good impression with customers. I am also required by Paypal to require signature upon delivery for all orders over $250. That is protect the customer, and First Drop. USPS does not offer anything of the sort for international shipping.

I don't want any chance of items not arriving, or not arriving on time. To insure the whole customs thing, I have hired a forwarder in China (for the outerwear) and I will be spending thousands and thousands of extra dollars on AIR FREIGHT on the entire production run to get it here quicker and in the most reliable fashion.

When you send anything through Fedex (for example), they are their own customs broker, and you are guaranteed to get your things NOT held up in customs.

Thanks to everyone who understands this, and I realize it's just not going to be worth it to buy a hoodie or a tee shirt internationally.

 But that is based on you living in Alberta and getting an item originally made in China, sent to the US and then to Canada. If it was US made its free!

 Provinces have different deals, some use a GST only and some use a Harmonized tax. Get on to FedEx.com and you can get an exact amount.
