Park/Powder skis. Width vs Length

what is more important to you in a ski?

I think in both cases I would rather have a longer ski and keep the width down.

I just really don't see the point in 90mm wide 170 cm park skis, and 140 mm wide 180cm pow skis. The ratio seems messed up

guess its a mix of both, but width is more important i would say.
look at snowbaords fpr example. theyre only like 150 tall but float better than a ski form the 90s which was 210 long but only 80mm wide.
but its better to have a pow ski which is longer so youll have even more float.
for charging it is also better since the ski is more stable.

fat skis in park aren't necessary (90underfoot isn't fat), and length is preference. now everywhere else this ratio does have a significance. i'm currently on a 179cm 100 underfoot ski and i def wouldn't mind a bit more girth just to keep me floating a little bit better, but i wouldn't be willing to go much longer since i'd loose a bit of the tight turns i'm able to make.

before i keep blabbing along, what's your point comparing these two???
