My mom wanted me to get the swine flu shot monday, so i got it..i woke up the next morning and i had a super bad reaction to it. the stupid thing got me really sick i started throwing up, having cramps, headaches, stomachaches, and a fever. im still super sick, this video literally scared the hell out of me.

Flu vaccine has been tested on humans...just not every year, because all that changes from year to year is the strain of influenza.

that is really really sad... pretty sure you guys keep saying its fake because its a one in a million disease. i have not gotten the flu shot for like 3 years, i dont need it.
you get the flu, have it for like four days, and recover.
its not that bad.
i only get mandatory shots like hepatitis.

i like the update, and im sure ill love it, but the new logo is just more of a user friendly thing for thosse coming into it, honestly in the past 4 or so months its addd like 10,000 members or something rediclous, so  guess we'll have to deal, but old school ns stickers are gonna soon have the value of gold! but some of the idiotcracy changes anger me, like the instant hyper link is cool, but i dont like new embed of video thingy

Ya the  H1N1 hasn't really been tested on people, only small scale clinical trials.  But that isn't just the Pharma's problem, there was huge pressure from consumers and the government trying to push it to market, I got to see it all first person.

Of course influenza is a stab in the dark, because it is a mutating virus.  That is why I don't take it, but that is just cause of the nature of influenza.  Vaccines are incredibly exact depending on what they target and only certain vaccines are like what you describe. 

They actually care quite a lot about your health, which is why they spend on average 1 billion dollars to bring a drug to market and only a tiny percentage of their drugs even make anything back on the initial investment.  But if you want to be like the growing trend of the American population and say "Fuck you pharmaceuticals!" then just wait and see what happens.  Soon enough big companies will stop funding their own research and development, and if the government doesn't subsidize them or change patent laws (which they won't), then all research will stop in general except Academic, which has little to no resources.  No one will be able to afford the research because of people refusing to pay the cost and the lack of funding and then diseases will become resistant to the drugs on the market now (which is happening REALLY fast, and if you do any research on the subject it is actually quite disturbing) and they will become useless.  Then see what happens when no one is willing to find new drugs to combat the emerging diseases.

isnt that just the nature of a vaccine? you are given a small amount of (inoculated) flu or whatever and your body takes care of it, and since it knows it now can build a resistance? but a very small percentage of people might not destroy the small bit theyre given and get symptoms?

they probably screwed up and gave  you too much. shots are just concentrated doses of whatever they want to save you from. its supposed to be enough to not hurt you but still have your anti bodies recognize is it so that they build up immunity. but i bet they fucked up and you just got swine flu hahah. or you have a weak ass immune system

Daytripper was right...why would you want a concentrated dose?  That would mean a higher dose than the actual flu....it's not the actual piece of the disease that causes a lot of reactions in people, it is the additives to the vaccine to keep it stable and near a physiological environment.

True, there is a lot of change that needs to happen....you know that Viagra was actually developed as a blood pressure medication?  Turns out it had an interesting side effect...and now we have the little diamond pill.  So it wasn't for something useless, but I digress.

You are right with many psychological drugs.  Sure some people do have problems, however, a lot of people just need to change their lifestyles.  Another big issue that many people don't readily acknowledge is the Doctors.  It is only partially the pharmaceuticals fault, and in a large part is the Doctors faults for overly prescribing anti-depressants and pain killers all the way down to common antibiotics, which leads to drug dependencies on one hand, and disease resistance on the other.

Fact is though, Pfizer for example can't stop producing Viagra and making it better.  It is one of their blockbuster drugs, and they only way they can get money to fund their anti-cancer research or stuff like that, that has little to no profits, is to rely on blockbuster drugs.  Without those they would be screwed, and the government refuses to help.  So once more blockbuster drugs go off patent and become generics (I.E. Lipitor), big companies like Pfizer will be in a really tough spot and most of their research will get cut for things that are more important like cancer and fatal illnesses.

Yeah I am also getting the shot. My mom is a nurse and is giving out shots this whole month (I live in Canada) so I may be a bit biased but i don't really understand the whole "not taking shots" scene.

i feel bad because i laughed a bit during this just when she tried to stop running....I never was planning on getting one because I still dont believe that injecting a dead flu virus into your body will prevent you from getting sick...its got mercury in the shot and theres no way thats goin in my body....and this just makes my decision easier
