My friend has an hfs100 so i can tell you a bit about it.
Nice camera big threads (58mm) so you can put a really good lens on it. The Low Light is pretty good but the problem is the AVCHD which you need a beast of a computer. He had to buy a brand new PC with a quad core processor so make sure you have a good computer.
Personally I used the hfs100 and the hv30 and I like the hv30 more. For me though i don't have a great computer so the hv30 was right for me. If anything I would just go hv30 and get a mic and a nice lens.
