How hard is it to get canadian residency?

Due to some personal issues and the ever failing economy, I was wondering how difficult it would be to get a job in Canada after I graduate college in the states. I will be graduating in business, and Toronto looks like a really cool place...Are Americans even allowed to apply for jobs in Canada without residency? Appreciate the help my fellow top hats.

toronto does not suck but
vancouver>toronto
i think you need to apply for a visa just like the rest of the world and because you are from the states and will have a business degree it should be easier. getting citizenship however, it would be easiest to find someone to get married to. other wise you have to go through sponsorships and thats really expensive unless you find someone to sponsor you.
or you can claim refugee status....

Well haft the population here in Vancouver probably doesn't have a citizenship. so I think you will be OK
You just need a visa

As the largest trading partner of the US, Canada is not exactly a safe haven. If the US economy tanks, then Canada is left without its largest export. market.
Europe is not doing so well either.
Move to Asia, Singapore is where its at (except for the whole caning thing).
All times are Eastern (-4)
