Sunday River Early season

So, I know in the past Sunday River has done an event where they open early in the season and do a day or two of skiing in like late October before any other resorts on the east are open. Since I am now going to school in Maine and have the college pass for Sugarloaf, Sunday River, and Loon, I want to go, but I looked on the SR website and didn't see anything about it.

Sparknotes: Is there an event at sunday river for early skiing in late October that is not listed on their site?

i think last year if you wore a costume there on halloween you could ride for free. on a side note, i drove 6 hours to get to sunday river on march break last season and the park was a complete letdown.

Yeah I was there over  halloween a couple years back and it was pretty good - the park setup - all things considered...you know - the time of year and all....

all the good features/ rails were pushed to the sides or in the woods and the pipe was solid ice. they also didn't have a single operational jump at the time and all the boxes were sticker than a hooker on a long weekend

october 31st is usually the first day. which you could ski for free if you showed up in costume. however, they only skiable terrain from the midstation on the locke triple.

it seems like east coast is going to get an early season though. stowe got snow today and there are pictures of people that hiked up and skied it.
