I heard that yesterday and can somebody tell me how these stupid people get elected?

It would help if that woman was reasonable and could act like a normal human being. it only makes it worse when she says "god bless you" 5 or six times to doge the questions.

wow, that lady is pretty far out there. i can understand the no vehicular hot pursuits due to the dangers to the public, but no foot chases either? fuck, anyone want to rob a bank in this town? bet we can get away!

Well take a look at this for a second.

Reporter: “Are you telling your officers if they witness a crime - they witness someone commit a crime on someone else and they’re ten yards away - they can’t go stop that person?“
Peake: “Is that in there?“ (referring to policy)
Reporter: “It says no chases whatsoever.“

Peake: “Well, I told them no chase on foot, and (the police chief) know exactly what I mean, so you’re trying to twist what I -“
Reporter: “No, I’m not. You said no chases. No chases means no chases.“
Peake: (claps hands) “You got you a story, thank God! You are so sweet! You got you a story on a woman in Wellford!

That's the interview she did. It looks like to me she is simply trying to scam the insurance company to lower the premiums for the police officers. More or less it seems like she is saying not to do chases openly, but probably the deal behind closed doors is different.
