will old carpet be just as good as astro turf? i just need something that slides so baid

i kind of doubt it will, because most carpet is like cotton-y or kind of soft, while astro turf is like a plastic

buuuuut it depends on what kind of carpet it is, it could work, no harm in trying it out

astro turf isn't that expensive though

if it is a indoor outdoor carpet then it will work pretty well

go to ace hardware or lowes or home depot or somethin and get some turf. its not that expensive. but if you dont have any money try the carpet.

i tried carpet and it didnt work... i jus went to home depot and got astro turf and it works really good

Yes, carpet will work. If you have old carpet that you want to use, try it and see if it works. That's what I did and it ended up working. If you don't have old carpet laying around, get turf, it's way better. Except if you can't find turf (I ran into this problem) and want to try carpet, just remember the less fluffy it is, the better. In other words you want to use the hardest, skinniest stuff you can get.

I use old carpet for my setup... just lube it up nice with dish soap + water.
