i wanna go there and just lie to these people dress like they do carry around a crazy sign and speak of aliens and centaurs and shit and have them think im some sort of mystical brilliant guy
Holy shit, if I've seen one piece of shit video. This is it.
Those people do not represent the majority of tea partiers in DC or elsewhere. They were uneducated and stupid. They interviewer just found all the people with crazy signs and shirts and inteviewed the dumb and the extreme. It's no better than this video...
Really, its the same concept, however, I think that the average obama voter is much less informed than the average tea partier.
And God, this is just another page in the liberal play book. Diminish the effect of 1.5-2 million protesters in DC. The protests for vietnam had far less people and got coverage for weeks.
I was supposed to go up to DC this weekend, but my trip got cancelled. I've been to 2 tea parties in georgia and both had absolutely no crazy people, no hitler signs. Yes, there were prob a few uneducated people there. There always will be, but to discredit the entire event after seeing a video that finds the 20 craziest dumb people is stupid.
The interviewer wasnt even right about the czars. They started under FDR, but they were called dictators. Ronald Reagan had them, yes, 6 of them. Not much compared to Obama, especially how the pay czar has not been advising the president, but is actually going to cap pay to CEOs.
Ill give the vid one postitive point. The guy with the cross was funny.
If you couldnt handle it until the end, this is the written conclusion:
"All that stands in the way of universal healthcare in America are the greed of the medical-industrial complex, the lies of the right-wing propaganda machine, and the gullibility of voters who believe those lies.
Let's not let volume beat reason."
This government plan shit is not about health care. Theres no way this is going to help health care in america. Its about government control. It always has been and always will be. Its hilarious this video talks about a ring-wing propaganda machine. Just change right to left, and the video is talking about itself and the gullibility of those who watch this video.
THANK YOU! Ughhh I'm seriously so sick of people...There are misinformed uneducated people at every event and well they are obviously a target for interviewers. Tea parties are an excellent thing and I would love to be a part of one. Why? Because I am a "crazy conservative republican," and not afraid to admit it.
But going back to the czar thing...
The first modern-era American "czar" was Energy Czar John Love, appointed by President Nixon in 1973 during the gas crisis,
The only czar under Reagan was the Drug Czar appointed by the
Democratic party held congress, which Reagan called When Congress
enacted a law in 1982 that created a drug czar, President Reagan
scorned the provision: "The creation of another layer of bureaucracy
within the Executive Branch would produce friction, disrupt effective
law enforcement, and could threaten the integrity of criminal
investigations and prosecutions.… The so-called "drug Czar" provision
was enacted hastily without thoughtful debate and without benefit of
any hearings."
i didnt post this with any intent of a shitshow, and i agree that of course there are plenty of hilarious videos of interviews in harlem and dc of people who didnt know shit about obama who voted for him.
the point of ^^'s response that i dont agree with is the amount of people who can demonstrate this level of stupidity.
take this next statement with a large grain of salt but - i feel that there is a major difference in interviewing some black people stoked on voting for the first black president who didnt know much about the cause, and people who are willing to travel to washington to demonstrate purposefully against the government whilst being led by ignorance and spewing nonsense that i read on glenn becks site.
just my opinion. plenty of jackasses on both sides but when u have the power to rally a large amount of people who seem to lack any ability to look at things for themselves is when it gets scary. either way
I went to the one in Sacramento, its this issue right here that really drove it home. This issue alone will drive up food prices for all Americans and should have much more national coverage. All for the sake of some smelt, tens of thousands of Americans could lose their jobs.
Hey Obama, instead of creating bogus jobs and supporting inflated union-driven wages, why don't you try to protect the honest jobs that already exist? Just another example of the democrats saying one thing and doing another.
The best part was that the 40,000 person turnout was reported on conservative blogs as in the millions. Michelle Malkin claimed 2 million people, and posted pictures of massive crowds... from Obama's Inauguration.
Guy: "35% of abortions are had by black american women!"
Rando: "Yes they are!"
Guy: "They only make up 12% of the population!"
Chick: "McCarthy and John Wayne were right!"
Sign: "Unarmed... This time!"
My favourite - Guy carrying cross: "I've never been here before, I just came to see the capital building and the white house, I had no idea this was gonna be going on... would you guys like to sign the cross?"
Fat hick woman: "I'd like to see a Christian in the White House is what I'd like to see... he's a muslim"
Young dude: "It hasn't even been a year yet and he's destroyed most of the country, that's crazy!"
Old dude: "His mother was white! He's not an african american, but he's going that way because it pays off for him."
Old lady: "We live by the constitution and by God we'll die by the constitution!"
Beardo: "Well, facism is a form of socialism I would believe, they're all intertwined, communism, facism socialism... they all borrowed from each other."
Peggy Hill: "Czar is a Russian king... here, Jesus is our king!"
ugh sorry again but don't you find it funny that for every new "green" job obama creates it costs 3 union jobs...and to think those green jobs are only temporary. sadface.
Just re-checked. Early reports had put the protest at between 40-60 thousand people. DC fire department report concluded between 60-70 thousand people.
You realize that 1.5-2 million would have made this BIGGER than the inauguration?
"The way this false estimate came into being is relatively simple: Matt Kibbe, the president of FreedomWorks, lied, claiming that ABC News had reported numbers of between 1.0 and 1.5 million when they never did anything of the sort. A few tweets later, the numbers had been exaggerated still further to 2 million. Kibbe wasn't "in error", as Malkin gently puts it. He lied. He did the equivalent of telling people that his penis is 53 inches long."
Jesus christ these are funny people. I guess you have to be pretty fucking crazy to buy a ticket to dc and drag a 12 foot crucifix with them.
"jesus is our king" lol. The etymology of czar is so funny. To be fair the interviewer probably did some research, that is cheating when going to a protest.
Just to drive the point home, here is the same view of the Washington Monument during the 9/12 event (70k people) and the Inauguration (1.5-2million people).
alright, i swore i was staying outta this one, but i just need to comment on this. there is absolutely no possible way to quantify this. period. none whatsoever.
yeah, this doesn't hold a candle to that piece of shit who bit the guys finger off at the pro-healthcare reform gathering, now that is fucking pathetic.
true, true most of the people there are tired of parties and all that.
JD, I dont think this is the voice of republicans. There were lots of democrats there too. I've met lots of democrats at the meetings I've gone to as well. Even those that might be conservatives are tired of the republican party...
No... it isn't. Besides the fact that if you DID post a picture of 2 million people in Washington, I'd have to ask you to authenticate it, because there are now TWO sets of fake pictures floating around the internet, one actually being from a 1997 event.
Even freedomworks (who initially claimed the 1.5-2mil number) subsequently revised their estimate to the low 100,000s, and they have an obvious motive to inflate the numbers.
You are really credulous if you believed those reports. 2 million people would have utterly ruined the city's infrastructure on that day.
The DC fire department says 70,000. Even fox news is reporting 70,000. Independent observers report 50-70,000. Yet you insist on believing this crap because it suits your political alignment. Which is exactly why democracy in the united states has gone down the crapper: people can make up completely ridiculous, demonstrably false total bullshit and people will wilfully ignore the obvious truth because of what they'd prefer to believe and because of their own intellectual laziness.
