he came to Labrador (in the province where I live) and ate seals eyeballs  - he pretended it was a plane crash and had to have his arm in a sling, and use bits of the plane for shelter...but he abandodned the idea shortly there after because he said there was no way he was going to survive. Up until then, I'd never seen him quit something. intense. I respect that guy.

I'm glad he came right out and admitted that the broken-arm thing was impossible.

When ever im thirsty sidecountry/backcountry skiing, I usually just take a handful of snow and eat it. Beats the hell out of $5 bottle of waters at the lodge.. Probably stupid of me, but....

i remember that one, he pretended like he was gonna break his forearm by hitting it bluntly with an axe, then he was all like "psych!!!!!"

but eating snow on the hill or whatever isnt bad at all, and neither is it in a survival situation as long as its not your only form of liquid. its only bad because it lowers your core temperature significantly, so if youre hot its actually a good thing. dont take my word for it, im basing all this off memory
