god i'm so sick of kids thinking that they are somehow better than someone else or cooler because of the music they listen to, you act like your a fucking connoisseur of music because you like ready to die and illmatic, shut the fuck up...you don't seem to realize that those are in fact the most common and unoriginal answers to this question

how bout you get off your high horse and allow someone to like whatever music they do instead of acting like a stuck up bitch, just answer the question and respect the opinions of others

and i do not care how emotional and unintelligent that came across, i'm just pissed off with some of the attitudes on this site right now

There's a reason everyone says Illmatic among others as the best rap album of all time. It's not because it's the popular thing to say, it's because it's true. And it's not a bunch of rich white kids on NS that are saying this. It's practically every rapper/mc/producer/columnist/etc in the business that says this.

I'll defend my responses as long as people like you keep thinking I'm wrong for what I say. There's just no possible way anyone who loves rap can say that. I mean I fucking LOVED C2 when it came out. I listened to hustler musik so many fucking times. I rapped the stupid song backwards and forwards during class. But not even in my awkward years of finding myself in 2005 would I consider saying it was my favorite rap album. I just love music too much to say that. Opinions only go so far until you're just plain ignorant.

i look at it this way: some dude says his favourite album is carter 2; dude hasn't heard enough albums.
i don't think he has bad taste or whatever, i just think he needs some more listening.
