i am getting the hd ultra on tuesday and i have tested it out at best buy and it is excellent quality i just hear that there are problems with charging and that the battery overheats and you have to replace it
I've used the Sanyo HD camera, and the footage was literally unusable. I was mixing footage from that cam (cropped to 4:3) with normal SD footage from a Sony PD170, and obviously the PD170 looked better, but the flip cam just looked like garbage. There was tons of artifacting as well as the infamous CMOS wobble. One camera that may be worth checking out is the new Kodak point and shoot that does 720/60p. I don't know the exact model name, but it's about 130 bucks if i'm not mistaken, and it takes some really sharp video. Horner posted a cool sample of it's footage a few weeks ago that looked pretty impressive.
