smooth rock slabs at 6000 feet are probably so rarely skiable that they havent been. a compareable line in salt lake is medusas face on mt olympus, which sits at like 8500 feet and gets skied by about one person every 4 years

I was told it was done top to bottom in the '70's... huge heavy wet storm, the snow acutally stuck. They skied down Flatiron 1 and there are pictures somewhere. Could be a rumor, but it'd be awesome if they did. I'll be out climbing one of the Flatirons on Friday.
This isn't the first time someone has made their way down the Flatirons on skis. Back in 2007, Bill Wright and Stefan Griebel became the first pair to ski down the "1911 Gully" route on the Third Flatiron, three years before Porzak did.
