Is $112 worth it for Windows 7?

I want to buy Windows 7 but as soon as I saw the price I cringed. Anything is better then Windows Vista but I wonder if this is another fuck up from Microsoft. So anyways, I was looking for brief reviews/comments from people who are currently using Windows 7. thanks.

im running windows 7 RTM right now, for a few months i was running windows 7 beta.  Over all is a very solid OS, vista was not as bad as everyone said it was, but it was quite inefficient.  I get an extra 45 minutes of battery life just because win7 is that much more efficient
i say its worth it
