Mobile site?

iv been asking for a year now. and ns officials keep telling me its in the works and will be out soon. well a year later and nothing. personally i think it would be better to make a mobile site rather than a iphone. you will get so many more users. blackberrys, psp, itouch and iphones.

I've said it before; I'll say it again. Any mobile site must have a "view full site" button for iPhone users. Crippling the functionality of a website that works flawlessly from the start has been one of my main concerns about the iPhone.

That said; the iPhone makes up a much higher percentage of the mobile internet space (over 50%) than any other phone out there. Especially in this demographic. That's why an iPhone app makes sense. That's also why crippling the functionality of a majority of mobile users (iPhone users) does not make sense.

It sounds like your issue with a mobile site is that if you navigate to newschoolers.com with your iphone, it will redirect you to the mobile site and you want the option to go to the normal site. Am I right?

not to be a dick but NS has said a mobile site is in the works for a while now and nothing has come out.

there's two threads saying that it would be coming out LAST winter/spring. those threads were almost a year ago as well. My hopes have been high for an NS app for quite some time now but I have given up. I really don't care if they make it or not, it's just that they said they were going to make it and have it released but it still hasn't happened. I would say that if a red responds in here and gives a time projection of when it will be out, add about 6 months to it.

Yeah... we fucked up. Had it mostly finished (still is) and then zillions of other things came up.

Best I can say... is hopefully we can finish it this time around.

The site works great now on iPhones, it just could be a little faster and easier to use

on internet explorer on my phone ns is a fail, but on opera mobile its perfect

yes. that's the main problem i have with the iphone. i can't even go to the full page of msnbc, cnn, google, and a few of my local tv stations. the point of safari on the iphone was that it was the full internet -- not the mobile internet. now it's turning into the mobile internet.
