I've basically been researching skis this year for quite some time, normally i can make my decision quickly because i face two factors, all around ski and money. But this year it's different, i've aquired 2 jobs and i have... well .... plenty of money. Therefore i went out and got my self a pair of pow skis (lib tech) and now i've narrowed down my possible park specific skis to four choices. (i'm probably gonna be around 60% air, 40% jib)
first are the line afterbangs. i guess i went out for a drive and missed the red light and drove right into the hype train. I mean, don't get me wrong. I absolutely LOVE line skis. 2 years ago i had a pair of invaders that fuckin rocked. but they were just too skinny. and i was thinking about getting anthems this year but since i got pow, i figured they'd be just a little wide for park specific (I'm 5'10 140lbs.) So the afterbang fits the scenerio for what specs i'm looking for but i'm still unsure on this construction. Not to mention the graphics are pretty much the gayest things i've ever seen. (i'd go for the 177 btw)
Next are the Surface Nine Lifes. I've never skied surface but i've heard nothing but good about the construction, durability, and function. I kinda like the specs on 'em but the shape has me a little concerned (i don't really know why). They seem pretty solid for what i'm wanting but i have really no idea cause i've never skied them.
Third, I'm considering the ON3P Blue Steele's. Basically, there just damn sexy. Love the specs on the 181cm and people seem to love 'em also. The ONLY thing that's concerning me is a mid-stiff flex. I do like them a little buttery. Definately my favorite graphic (but that's about 5% influence on my decision). As long as they hold up, i would love to ski a pair of ON3P blue steele's.
And last but not least, I have the Super Deluxe viewer special 'YOU PICK IT FOR ME'... through the research i may have overlooked a few key things and skis that 'you' may recommend. I've kind of been engrossed in this for quite some time now and I'm getting a little jumbled. Basically i'm looking for mid flex, something around 110-85-110 ish.. but varying sizes are ok. and 177-181cm. i don't think i can handel any bigger. if you didn't see above i'm 5'10 140lbs and best trick is 7 tail and 450 outs. but i'm going to get over 80 days next year cause due to my super awesome special adventour pe class, i get to go ski for 5 hours every other day during the week. I'm in Park City, Utah (just thought that might help).
And please, PLEASE don't just say "i have so and so ski and I LOVE EM" .. that doesn't help. at least compare there performance to another ski or something. I put a lotta work into this and i just want some legit answers
The karma is handed out in bulk for good answers.
and P.S. (last question)
my pow skis came with Rossignol FKS 155 bindings (the 'turntable' ones) and i've heard there damn near the best. so should i leave them on powder skis or put them on park skis and buy some more for my pow?
THANK YOU
