A while back I picked up a ROME catalog and so pictures of that dude and was curious about his unorthodox grabs and about who he was, thanks for the post.

I want to post on this because Pete is a valid contributor to this site: and valley hit this one on the spot, there are so many ways to ski and snowboard now that trying to find a standard way to judge which type of riding is the most technical or most progressive or hardest, is completely Irrelevant and whether something is cool to your 3 friends or the 30 million coach potatoes who watched X-games

if by illest you mean most boring, then yes. didn't see anything that was even that creative. have been way more impressed with LNP in the past.

i love how everyone bashes on the people saying that there tricks were bad by saying like "i love there 180s i dont want to see a hucked double blah blah blah"

ever heard of like a 720

or a 540

just because we say that there tricks were bad doesnt mean we are saying they have to do doubles

and eh.. i dont care that its snowboarding or that the dude was not the best speaker, if it was a skier and he spoke perfect english in that edit id still be unimpressed

dont think that because someone is a skier or that they may not be able to do the stuff in the vid, that the person has no right to criticize the riding.. have you ever watched a bad movie.. i bet you couldnt make a major film but that doesnt mean you cant criticize the movie

there were a couple cool things in that vid, but you cant say that was the illest snowboarding youve ever seen. i think the other vid posted in the thread had way better footage of lnp, but the first one didnt impress me more than that.

the edit didnt show the sickest tricks they did in the shoot. these guys threw down on that session. LNP made the cover of this years first transworld snowboard mag and the picture is from that session. Even if the tricks werent the sickest ever thrown that wasnt the point of the show-down. the whole concept was to create a unique image that hasnt been seen before and i think they did this to the max. thats why the rome team won. so you all can hate on how they didnt do the sickest trick of the year and you are entitled to your opinion but i believe the creativity from these kind of sessions is taking snowboarding away from the brick wall of double corks and 1440's and showing a whole nother direction that snowboarding can take.

And I'm gonna guess that all the "haters" of LNP don't snowboard/know anything about how snowboarding is changing. (I'm not saying you should know about snowboarding stuff)
