Dumonts or Pipe cleaners

I'm looking at both of these skis in the 2009 model. I'm 5' 10" and 140 lbs. i'll probably be in the park 90 percent of the time, and i'll be hitting rails about 60 percent of the time. I've heard of the dumonts having durabilty issues, but i've also heard people say that they are sick. I'm worried that if i get the pipe cleaners that the bases will get destroyed by rails, since they have the race base, which is supposedly softer. Price really isnt an issue since they both cost the same.

I've heard both are sick, also that the bases on the pipecleaners wont be effected as much as you think, also have you ever thought of the ar6's?

If you are just picking from that selection, the i would go for the dumonts. Otherwise, look into the suspects, alphas, and the ar6s, which are all good for park and rails, all are relatively inexpensive, and all are kick balls!

I started the season with AR6's then moved to the pipe cleaner, honestly your edges will give before the base does mine are fine and i rode every day this season. Plus the speed that the pipecleaner has is so helpful on warm days. If you hit jumps get the pipecleaner! They are much softer than the dumont though, butters!!!

the t-halls are dope and will be your best bet in my opinion

Why?  He is hitting rails 60% oh his time so wouldn't he probably want a ski that is a bit better at butters?   And he is 140lbs.  And Thalls would be a good choice, Dumonts have the same risk as Suspects, except with double edge armour you can get even more damage =D .

t-halls my man. i ride the t-halls. and im also a jibber and i hit kickers with them. the 2009 model is a little stiffer than its previous skis. sure ar6 is an amazing ski. but if you were hitting jumps 60 % i would say sure go get the ar6's, but ur not. so get the t-halls there so much fun and you can enjoy yourself on jumps too.

i love my t halls but my friends love their pipe cleaners and still hit rails and they are fine even though they have race bases... any more specific questions just pm me....
pipe cleaner = faster a lil stiffer
t hall = more butter and durable base

how do u go from dumont/pipecleaner to the t halls.?

is it really that weird..? he was looking at two skis that he thought would suite his needs, while asking for advice on the two was pointed towards the thalls, which are similiar to the dumont flex/dimension wise and ski similiar, and they are they same bran as pipecleaners. nothing about that seems weird to me

for some reason when i posted my other response i didnt see the 2 responses on the thalls for some reason, thought he just out of the blue decided on t halls my fault my computer just didnt load it all.
