I was at a local ski shop checking out salomon spk's and acording to boot fitting charts my 9.5 size feet should fit into a 26.5. but when trying them on the only boot i could fit into with any comfort at all was at least a 27.5. So does Salomon size boots differently or will they fit fine once i start wearing them. I know that if i acidently get them to big it could really suck.
Boots should fit tight in the shop as the liners will pack out as you wear them. Did you get a shell fit? If not, I would recommend that you either go back and get one, or find a new shop. A shell fit along with being asked some questions about your skiing should be the first things a good associate does.
Defintely a much tighter fit then a regular shoe. the other felt like my toe was almost curling just a little bit. And yeah the guy who helped me didnt do a shell fit or anything he just gave them to me and asked do these fit basicaly. i will go back and ask if they can help with a shell fit. Thanks for the help +karma
For many people, a standard two finger shell fit will work. A one finger is used as a performance fit, and it can go down from there. I have a bit less than one finger in my boots, but I like them tight so my foot doesnt budge.
