I am about to but k2 hellbents and cannot decide between marker baron and marker griffon binding. Basically I am not sure if hiking/stepping (i dont know how you say it) on such a fat skis would be a good idea.
^I was going to say I think I just saw this thread and posted in it the other day. Do not put Barons on them, you do not want to skin on Hellbents. If you are going to be skinning then buy a different ski.

the word you meant to say is touring, and touring on a fatty ski in powder is great. That is a heavy combo but if your short tours start in resort and head out you will be fine. Either put dukes on because you are going to be touring and they are a decent binding(best touring choice for hard skiers), or don't put on any Marker binding.
