Skiing Park on Fat Skis

I know that many people have started to ski park on fat skis now and I bought a pair for next season. I have Lizzies(a 110 waist) and I was wondering how different they will feel compared to a more traditional park ski.

Will rails be different? (presses, scissoring for switch ups and spins off)

What about Jumps? ( a much wider platform underfoot)

I know that lots of people ski wider skis and I appreciate you telling me about your experience with them.

landings on jumps feel easyer with the wider platform, and rails are more stable, but it is a little harder to do switchups, and biggers spins are harder

Wide skis are super fun in the park I think... I've ridden P4s and obsetheds in the park and they were way fun. Rails feel easier almost and jumps are just jumps like always. Really there's no difference except you're on fatter boards man.

Not to thread jack, but has anyone center mounted the Lizzies? And then carved on them? I mean at recommended, they carve great, but I was wondering whether there is a noticeable difference. I had Lizzies at recommended 2 years ago and they were great and now I have EP pros at +1. Next year i'm looking at the Lizzie again because I miss them but i think I would center mount? Anyone done it?

I hope you mean +1 of recommended and not center on those EP's.  I have Lizzies that I am going to mount up but I was thinking recommended because they are my all mountain pow tree skis.  I would like to know how they ride center also because I do not like mounting anywhere but center but they are already short so.......yea.

well eric pollard skis them as his park ski and he rides em -2cm from center. I believe that it is also the recommended mounting for them. So i'd go with that.

This is true. But recommended on the Line Chronic is like -6. How many of the team do you see riding park skis at -6. The sidecut is elliptical and mostly in the tips and my thinking is that centre mounting will make very little difference to the 'skiability' but I am not 100%. I have ridden Lizzies at -2 for a whole year and you do notice that they are at -2. Has anyone skied them at centre

the wider platform feels great on jumps i skied my eps in the park and hit largeish (around 50ft) jumps on them and the wide waist felt so good fatter skis are a little harder to do smaller trickerys with like switchups but thats it

I rode Lizzie's in tha park for a few days and it was really fun, just sorta awkward cause they are 172's and i ski 180's and am tall.

well landings aren't more impact-absorbing like Line says Anthems have because they are a bit wider than Chronics, but landings feel a bit more stable.  Bigger spins and more technical tricks are a bit harder.  Getting on to rails is harder, but when you are on them you feel stable because the extra width helps alot.

what the hell?! everytime i start a post with "I" it cuts everything else off....anyway, i was trying to say that i love skiing my lizzies in the park.  they are super fun and buttery, and if/when you switch back to traditional park skis, everything feels so much easier
