Don't get me wrong Tom Wallish is a GOOD skier, however he is not at the top of the list. There's just something about his steeze that doesn't do it for me. To be the best you have to look the best, not just talk about how good you are. For example in his make me famous edit (http://newschoolers.com/web/content/viewvideo/id/268631/search_string/tom/) at 3:09 he throws a 450 disaster onto a box, if he had steeze he would have thrown a shifty into that.
You're a troll. Who else would have thrown a shifty into a 450 disaster? Not most of the other professional park skiers like Håtveit, Jossi Wells, TJ Schiller etc... Tom's rail game is solid... you should really find something else to pick on...
"Afterbang cannot be found if one is looking. Afterbang must find you, and you must find your place within Afterbang. To reach for it is to let it slip from your grasp, but to let it go is to hold it with all your strength.Keep it hyphy, young apprentice."
You can't just say Tom Wallisch is the best. There's too many aspects of skiing. T-Wall kills urban, but so does LJ, Henrik, and a lot of other people. And then you've got the park aspect of it, which once again T-Wall kills that too, but so many other people do too. Look at Sammy's new edit. He ripped coc's park a new one. So you can't really say Tom Wallisch is the best skiier, but you can't say he is either. But thats just my take on it.
you are never gonna be able to tell that one skier is the best. you can only have top riders and still its a tuff call. everyone is is bringing something important to the table. everyone got there own style and tricks.
i got to say , tom as a huge hype around him right now, and is killing it whit style.
but if you want to limit your vision to one rider ... thats cool too i guess
You can't really say who is the best. Everybody has different styles and brings diferent aspects to the table. Wallisch kills it and personaly hes my favorite skier causa his style but I wouldn't say hes the best. I can't call anybody the best. Even though Tanners not top dog in the park anymore If I had to pick i'd say he is the king of skiing because of what he did for putting us on the map. Him and John Mosley Mad Trix! Besides skiings about going out and having a good time. Any pro will tell you thats the most important thing!
Personally... I think that Tom probably is almost the best because he kills it on rails, urban, and jumps. However, there are obviously skiers who are just as good if not better at those one of those three aspects but they lack one or both of the other 2 aspects. For example there are a few people such as Lj, and will wesson who slay urban and park rails, but aren't as good as Tom on jumps. I would say that he is one of the best well rounded skiers but maybe not the absolute best.
ya dude, myself and a few buddies skiied with him during the dumont cup, hes a wicked chill guy and hes extremely nice compared to some of the other skiers out there. his rail game is killer, his park game is great, and hes a nice guy. but even still, whoever you think is the best skier will pretty much always be a personal opinion
i don't want to get into the is wallisch the best war or anything. but i'm just gonna say this the reason wallisch is so popular is because he's so easy to relate to. like how often do you see edits from jon, andreas, jacob, sammy, tanner and all those guys from parks everybody skis everyday.
I wonder what the reasonable to worthless post ratio is?
i personally think his style is completely off the hook but idk he hasnt quite made it to the level of tanner candide dumont etc. yet is the keyword im sure he will be close in the next few years along with henrik
jesus, if i were you i would move to china and step on people and be god and so on- NINE7OH$
I have to agree with you here. There is something about Tom`s steeze that just doesn`t work for me. HH is the pro in my opinion. I think he will do very good in competitions and eventually when a x games medal.
There are as many kinds of skiers as there are lines down the mountain, but we're all pretty much the same, we all want more powder days, we all want to fly, and whether it's our first run through the pipe or our tenth trip to Alaska, we can all fall. Skiers are a community united by a shared passion and a shared understanding of the risks involved.
