little background:

my father owns a steel business, i work for him and do a ton of stuff. my friend mike's dad is a general contractor and is currently working on a job with us. so his dad and him came into work today to go over drawings...

we have this drawing drawer thing that's about 6'5 tall. so i can't really reach the top without a step stool or anything. so i'm up going through drawings, talking away, not really paying attention to the fact that my heels are not cooperating with the step stool. mike is right behind me to grab the drawings as i'm handing them down to him...

somehow my foot slipped off the back edge and i slid of the stool landing with my ass buried in his zipper region and i scream oh shit. my dad and his dad were standing there in the hall way and it must have looked like he was railing me from behind, i had two hands on the drawers bent over with him right up on me. to top it all off his dad then yells "get 'er mike!" everyone laughed but me...

anyone else have embarrassing work stories.

im a waiter at a mexican restaurant, and we had these drunk ladies come in, kinda cute. so i take their orders and come back to ask if they need anything else, well while i was doing that i just realized that two of them had their tops off, and the other two ladies across from them are taking pictures of their boobs. well anyway after they finish dinner i take their check to them, well they stopped me and asked if i wanted to become a porn star, telling me all the stuff they could do and stuff like that, i just had a shocked look at my face and another waitress comes over and shes like whats up and they ask her to join. she just looked at me and had a very confused look on her face as well. well the ladies ended up leaving and we didnt join them, but they did leave some copies of their photos on the door step the next day.

i did something dumb today, i guess not too funny, but it was dumb.

i work in a shitty parking booth, so basically i get paid to read. knit, browse the net etc, summer student job. anyways, the booth up near the hospital they still do the system by hand because of construction they can't upgrade everything. so my point is, all the tickets i sell are already numbered,i.e 327300-327600 were my range of tickets today. i was counting my cash and i kept coming up short. turns out i was short 200$ and i start freaking out. no i didn't steal it, yes i wish i could, haha, but anyways, so for about 30 minutes, i'm trying not to cry and i have people check the change bag to see if i didn't accidently give in too many 20$ bills when getting change for my float. later this dude comes in when i'm going for a break to the loo, i come back and tell him what happened, asking him to try and see if money fell inside the register (which has been known to happen). we count up everything 2 times more over the 4+ times i counted and i'm still missing about 200$, turns out, my epic fail was that i had put a stack of tickets #327400-327450 over tickets #327387-327399 and had sold my tickets out of sequence, so basically i was calculating my deposit to be 12 tickets more than i had actually sold. case in point, 13x16$=208$. in the end, my cash was still 4$ short, but i think i'd rather -4, than 200...let's just say my boss was relieved and i'm fucking glad i didn't have to lose the last two days of my salary.
