First some basic info I rent in denver. I left for 3 days to go visit my family in Cali and I just got back and I have alot of water damage in my. It ruined my brand new mattress and it reaks of mold in their.
Now it has had small damage before when there was a big rain and I had called right away. A few days later he sends over his contracter and the guy says that there is no problem and that he cant explain how water got into my room.
Now can anyone help me with what I can do. I really dont want to have to pay to replace my brand new mattress and anything else that got messed up?
Its called renters insurance, you should have gotten some. You're lease probably and quite explicitly states that your landlord isnt responsible for water damage.
Little of what I do has any meaning or lasting significance.

Ive all but accepted that my mattress is a loss but I still would like to know what I can do considering that there is a ton of mold damage and the fact that I will be kicked out of my room most likely for a week or two so that they can fix what ever is wrong.
lol when i lived on my own we lived above these gay guys who always calld the cops on us for the stupidest reasons but we had the power to flood there living room we never really did it on purpose but it happened on accident like 8 times
The only thing is that I already called and they blamed me for the damage and I can now prove due to where the water went and the amount that it is in no way my fault at all. It is like I told them the first time there is damage to the foundation and water is getting in through there.
