so i just got back from seeing it

lemme first say, if anyone expected a good movie or was even looking for a good movie, theyre idiots. ITS DIRECTED BY MICHAEL BAY. why are you looking for a serious movie

i saw it to see bamf robots transforming and fighting, i was not looking for a good movie. i knew the plot was gonna be the biggest crap ever; i just wanted to see awesome CGI and fighting robots. and i got that. therefore, i was extremely pleased, because what i saw exceeded my expectations

that said, let me rip on the movie. first off, megan fox is way overrated. the first shot of her is her bent over in a sexual pose painting a motorcycle. that other chick at sam's college was WAYYYYYYYYY HOTTER. she was smokinnnnnnnnnn holy shit that bitch was unreal. also, michael bay added so much unnecessary humor it was ridiculous. black twin robots who cant read and say the dumbest things ever? nice, michael bay. why would he put the line, "im under its scrotum" in the most intense action scene of the movie. it just doesnt fit. its like he took romance action and comedy and morphed them all together and made a mixture. michael bay needs to watch his movies. he needs to see how many holes there are. maybe to the normal person, these wont seem obvious, but to me they were. he called in a predator, but it was actually not a predator, it was a global hawk. theyre both UAVs, but different. when they call in airstrikes, f-18 hornets take off from the aircraft carrier. then, f-16 falcons carry out the bombing raid, which is dumb, because theyre mainly fighter jets. then, a b1 lancer comes out of nowhere and drops bombs. where the fuck did the b1 come from, michael bay? i think michael bay also used the same shots from the first movie. the shot of the "predator" from the back is ridiculously close to the first movie's shot of a "predator". also the shot of the AWAC radar plane was very close if not the shot from the first movie. lastly, how does a fucking peterbilt big rig truck thats royal blue with orange flames get sr71 blackbird engines on its back. not only does optimus prime get sr71 engines on his back to stay some how, but he fires the engines at megatron. im sorry, but since when can engines shoot?

that said though, lemme reiterate that i was extremely pleased with the movie. i was looking for action, and i got that. the CGI was well done, and the fight scenes took action to an absurd level. it was 2.5 hrs of nonstop action. optimus prime mustve had a trainer, cause hes ridiculous. he takes on like 3 decepticons at once in that forest including megatron, when in the first film he was tossed like a ragdoll by megatron

who cares where the b1s came from, its one of the most badass planes ever!!!

and i laughed at the scrotum line personally lol.

however i agree, foxs only hot scene was when she stripped out of the leather for him at the beginning. her in that sundress... mmmmmm


but i too went in expecting a good mindless robot fighting movie, with honestly even lower expectations after all the reviews. i came out satisfyingly entertained. i dont understand how anyone can expect a transformers movie, regardless of the director, to be anything but mindless shit blowing up.

I agree with everything you stated about the military, just bullshit on the job Michael Bay did with them. I could not help but laugh my ass off every time Optimus Prime spoke, because I would picture Colby James West speaking into a mic.

you complain a lot. and you're not real nice to a lot of people by throwing "search bar!!!" in their face often or just ragging on their point of view. I'm not sure why you appear to be such a negative person on here, maybe you're not and I only happen to see that stuff. But i'm on pretty dam often, and it's all I see from you. And you recently got banned, for what I'm not sure but that doesn't help your case anyway.

In any event, if I wanted to hear your thoughts on the movie...I'd make a thread about it, or stick my head in my ass because then i'd have shit between my ears. just like i do after reading this thread. While this thread didn't merit my response, all of your other comments in other thread did, and this is simply the time I chose to say it. So be nicer, and relax, and enjoy your life more or something.

i throw a simple "searchbar" or "search to the bar" because there are wayyyyy too many reposts on this forum. taking 5 seconds out of your way could ease up all the congestion. yeah, i argue a lot, thats just who i am. i got banned for posting in a thread titled "i will ban anyone who posts in this thread" by rowen. so no, i didnt post anything overly offensive. im throwing my thoughts out there. dont click the fucking thread if you dont want to hear my thoughts, dipshit. simple as that. if i wanted to see gymkhana, i wouldve made a thread about it. oh wait. i didnt know what ken block could do with a car until i saw that thread. your comment makes no sense whatsoever. forums are about sharing, not request and answers

i loved the random one liners thrown in, they broke up the action.

It deffinatly wasnt a deep thinking movie, robots and hot girls are the only reason this movie is good.

I SAW IT IN IMAX.!!!!!!!!! IT IS THE BEST FUCKING MOVIE EVER IN IMAX! MY ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT I SELL HOME THEATER AND IT WASN'T LOUD ENOUGH FOR MY TASTES. I thought it failed miserably at being a brute, mindless action flick.
Then again the first one was pretty shitty too. In both the overdone comic relief is SO BAD; and the action is pretty bland. God. I was pissed that I saw it for free.

dude who cares how he got all those parts and shit from the old ass robot plane. their alien robots they can do w/e they want and its badasssss and shoot shit out their dicks for all i care.

side note.. did that big decepticon thing that got put together from a bunch of machines remind anyone else of power rangers shit when they used to make that big robot thing out of other sthff?

I thought that there were a lot of holes in the plot as well. But action shit did get get off the hook.

what happened to the all spark shard? and the only thing they mentioned about the matrix working in the finest hour which was lke the big thing in the cartoon was like a single line. and the three kings star reference had like nothing to do with anything.

i have only one question for you, andyju... did you seriously just try to nitpick every single plot hole and miniscule logistical error in a michael bay film? the answer is yes, you definitely did. which makes you an asshole. i saw the movie, i noticed some of these things, they didn't bother me. i liked the movie, you claim to have liked the movie... but did you? i dunno man, you're just a cynical bitch who feels the need to be overly critical in order to seem like you're somehow above it all. you need to seriously re-evaluate your life after you make a thread like this. if things like this really, actually bother you and set you off, then you have bigger, more personal issues to be worrying about. i'm drunk and angry, so don't get offended... but you suck

I saw it in theaters with my girl..and i personally thought it dragged on soo much. The only parts that i liked about it are some of the humor and the forrest fight sceen..that sceen was fuckin dope.

when did i say they bothered me or made me angry? i didnt try to nitpick the film, these things just popped in my head as i was watching it. its not like i was looking for errors with the movie, they came to me. its pretty easy to tell that when a 2 tailed and 2 engined aircraft takes off there should be a 2 tailed and 2 engined aircraft in the air, and not a single tail single engine fighter

im sure i could go a lot more in depth with this if i actually tried nitpicking, but i wont. these are just surface things that i notice

Look, get real fucking high, and go watch some transforming robots fight eachother for 2.5 hours. dont worry about how many engines are on the airplane, dont worry about why people think megan fox is hot, dont worry about the holes in the plot, think about the fucking massive, intricate, fighting robots, transforming and kicking the shit out of eachother with lazers and fucking rocket launching stealth bomber engines. you guys are way to critical, and are honestly making this harder than it is. if you're a fake movie critic, thats fine, just stay in your little indie coffe shop and talk about why godfather 3 was the biggest let down of the trilogy if thats what makes you happy. basically im saying that i tripped balls for 2.5 hours, and thought it was awesome because i wasnt going into it looking for a masterpeice on film. dont be so negative all the time, you'll enjoy life way more.

i thought they were totally separate and called eachother brother as in like the way black people say it (zoolander!)

and when optimus prime dies the fallen says "the last prime is dead" so therefore megatron cant be a prime therefore he cant kill optimus prime


are they brothers in the cartoon or something?

I thought megan fox wasn't super hot in the first one, she's super greasy. Not saying she's not attractive but overrated for sure. She's hotter in this one though. And as much as I did love this one I wasn't stoked to have an open ending setting them up for a third movie. This movie movie is really just an expensive marketing campaign for GM, what other purpose did the black robots have than to just show off Chevy's new shitty compact, I mean really?

i think he means that the three kings were created for this movie, yet they used so much from the cartoons that it didnt really make sense. what i didnt like about the movie is that they missed out explaining a bunch of shit in the movie. a) all of a sudden they need energon, didnt mention it at all in the first movie, and didnt give it any sort of explination other than they need it (maybe they actually did i missed the first 10 mins or so). b) concepts like the space bridge that jetfire just pulls out of his ass and when asked about it he responded with something along the lines of "oh I thought i told you" which im sure is how most of the people in the theater felt about it.

that being said, i loved the movie, i have loved transformers since i was 3, i just dont like seeing bullshit being fabricated that was not from the original story, as well as things from the original story not being explained.

also, i really liked all the references they made to the original movie, just changed around alittle bit, such as the energon harvesting machine that destroyed suns = unicron eating planets to live. devastator sucking shit up unicron style. the matrix. the fact that they did use combiners other than devastator. more  og transformers like arcee. and a bunch more that i cant think of right now.

no they arent actually brothers, i figure when he said it he was referring to they were created at the same time or something, as megatron and optimus are not actually brothers in cartoons. not to mention that in the cartoon you arent born a prime, the status of prime is given to you along with the matrix.

i think that hole in the story is from michael bay wanting to use optimus' death at the hands of megatron from the og cartoon movie..

Ahah, yeah i read your post. the fact you said you weren't trying to nit-pick the film is irrelevant, its the fact you noticed these rediculous things at all. clearly you got caught up with tiny details and didnt let yourself get into the movie. hence the negative view towards it. I didnt see the airplane's lack of engines or any of that stuff, i just saw robots hacking eachother to scrap, and wicked hot girls. Why? because i dont give a shit how many engines are on the plane, i'm not going to see a movie called "two engines or one? you tell me." im going to see transformers, i know its not going to be a super clean, perfect movie, and i dont care because thats not what i bought into, i bought into giant robots killing eachother, and i have to say i enjoyed it.

[Me] "holy fucking god, did that one robot fucking slice that R8 robot in half!? Fucking right! this shits intense!"

whether there is a co-relation is debatable, but when i watched it expecting robots to fight in sick battles, i left satisfied. i dont know how you went in, but clearly you didnt leave satisfied.

I agree with you on most of your points. The whole movie is tons of explosions and shitty comedy. If you were expecting a good movie, as has already been said, this isn't it. But it has some very dope effects. On the other hand, there's no need to criticize all of those little things, it just doesn't matter.
