1) also bring a shit ton of extension cords and power adapters, since theres never enought outlets in a dorm
-frisbee, one golf club (wedge), more money then you think you will ever need, clock, backpack, somewhere to put your dirty clothes,
2)if your rooms big enoughf get two fridges we did and it worked amazlingly, a alachole fridge and a food fridge, we threw a brown sheet over our beer fridge so it pretty much looked like a table/shelf, no one knew we had a second fridge and if ra's need to search your room thell never find it
3)get a christmas tree too for christmas time, we had a huge christmas tree in the middle of our room covered in payboys, great conversation started,
4) also if you can try and get with your ra if she good enough looking, it works wonders till you guys dead things between the two of you
5)dont get a microwave, its a pain in the ass but it give you an excuse to be social ( i tohught it was a stupid idea at first still sorta do but whatever)
If it is the school book store, they also determine the price by the amount they have in stock and how many they need for next year. They ended up valuing my book at zero cause they didn't have the class next simester and no one would buy it from them.
But you actually sold it used for more than you payed for it at the bookstore? That seems fishy to me.
And the book companies would never say that it drops 100 dollars because books cost under that all the time. They would be more likely to use a percentage drop like car companies do when they tell you the % drop in value by taking it off the lot.

i dont thinks books are nessesary for every calss if its your first semster play it safe and get your books but then atfer that just go with the flow i A'ed so many classes where i never even opened up the book once or the teacher didnt even use the book, after your first semester just play it by ear and see how it turns out
