Another thing (could be a con or a pro) is that the pro does NOT have a removable battery. This means that the battery is bigger so it has better battery life, but it also means 1) you can't bring multiple batteries on a plane trip 2)you can't replace the battery yourself when it dies.
Few others things:
The pro is thinner (2.75CM VS 2.41CM)
The pro is lighter (2.04KG Vs 2.27 KG)
The pro has the SD Card slot
The pro has the multi touch track pad (can do 3 and 4 finger gestures while the regular macbook can only do 2 finger gestures I think)
The pro's button is built into the trackpad (not below)
I am a little pissed that apple just discontinued the aluminum macbook. I wish they would give me a discount if I sent mine back to them and they could give me the 13" MBP for and extra 400 dollars. Even though I'd be losing money cause I got my MB aluminum the second day it came out and I payed $1700 for mine. and now they have a MBP for $1099?! Thats ridiculous!
It is highly likely that they are going to be releasing a new macbook relatively soon. I am pretty sure they just moved the 13 inch aluminum macbook into the pro category so they could free-up the macbook name so they can discontinue the white macbook and have something brand new.
Definitely go pro. nomensteven pretty much covered it, but:
Solid unibody aluminum construction
Thinner and Lighter
Faster RAM (DDR3 vs. DDR2)
7 hours of battery life (which is ridiculous)
SD Card slot
For $200 I'd say it's definitely worth it.
america, fuck yeah.
