for the last couple days i have been suffering from the worst after taste after eating any sort of food (seems to be worse when i eat bread for some reason). it is the same taste u have after throwing up. i have to brush my teeth after having any food.. i think i have already brushed 6 times today. has anyone ever suffered from this miserable taste sensation ever happened to anyone and if so what so i do to stop it?

I think i have had it before. Might not be the same thing but i have heard of this happening from plaque build up at the back of the throat

could possibly be acid reflux. check that out, i know that is a symptom.

not to sound lame but i have really good oral hygiene.. i always brush and floss and use mouthwash etc... how did u get rid of it when u had it?

you got any other symptoms? halitosis can be indicative of strep or something like that.

not really.. i mean a few nights ago i had a little bit of a sore throat before i went to bed but when i woke up it was gone and i was fine the next few days then this after taste thing started yesterday

this is right. i am a dental assistant in a pediatric and orthodontic office. even if you do have excellent oral hygiene this is still possible. it could be a result of a few different things, 1. nutrition. eating fruits and veggies instead of fried and fatty foods that are made of complex carbohydrates will help. also not smoking or drinking. 2. bacteria. some people just have "the wrong kind of bacteria" this bacteria makes cavities, sores, bad breath and nasty tastes more likely. also when your body goes through big changes you tend to secrete this kind of bacteria more. unfortunately you can't do anything about this. 3. tip: when you brush your teeth, brush your tongue as well or get a scraper to take off the extra plaque. use mints, sugarless gum and floss frequently. :D
