Skate parks are stupid

yesterday i was at a skatepark with my bmx and i am hitting 2 quarter pipes side by side airing out onto the next one and a little kid on a skateboard goes directly infront of where i need to land almost while I am in the air. i come down and try to go around him but instead i eat shit and now have 3 huge gashes on my face, particularly the one on my chin, i basically have a piece of flesh missing, and about 10 other 3 to 5 inch cuts all up and down my arms shoulders and legs. definately the worst bike crash i have ever had, this happened yesterday and more than half of the cuts are still slowly oozing with blood.., im about to go put alcohol on this chin cut because it already looks semi infected.... bye!

i hate when stuff like that happens.  my dad once tore his acl while skiing when 2 girls cut infront of him.  instead of hitting them, he turned into a big mud patch and was thrown forward.

In motocross (during race) you just hold your line and whatever happens happens people get landed on and run over, bikes ran over etc. Last year me and my friend were on a pratice track and I tried to block pass him but it tured out we both crashed on the exit of the turn this guy ran over my bike and across both of my friends legs between his knees and nuts. We freaked on the guy but nothing ended up happening.

I just run people over. I figure that's the best way that they can learn to watch where the fuck they're going. I've also found that running them over usually turns out better than me trying to dodge them and then crashing miserably...at least for me anyway.

2. Lets say he was doing the same thing back and forth, then some kid hops out behind him, so he is airing out, coming back down and THEN there is a kid there. Use your brain you cunt, it isn't that hard to understand how he could have been responsible and this still happens. Shit happens, especially when there are people as stupid as you around.

and gaper sounds just as stupid as slim11420. look, its a skate park. sure kids who ride bmx should be able to come in a ride but they should also have more respect for the park and look out for kids more cautiously. bmx bikes weigh anywhere from 25-35 pounds, a skateboard weighs what? like 5 pounds maybe. you can hurt a lot more kids while on a bmx bike then on a skateboard. just watch out and learn to look around and scope it out before you go. you don't just drop into a jump blindly without checking to make sure no ones on the landing do you? same concept applys when you're skating or riding your bike.

yeah, normally less injuries happen that way, and its a damn good way to teach kids park etiquette, but i try to avoid if i can, and i find most times the kid wont get hurt too badly if at all same for myself

kids need to learn to look out before they go, ive seen more shit go down cause of skaters then bikes.
because we are actually aware of shit thats going on instead of rollin around like we own the place like most skaters.
ive seen a kid get in the way of a skater, and instead of jumpin off his board he decided to ollie the kid and caught the kid in the head.
ohhh, yyyeeaahh its definitley ONLY bikes that get in the way and cut ppl off STFU
oh and i agree that kid showin up on crap bikes not tryin shit should GTFO cause they DO get in the way all the time, theyre the dangerous ones.

go to any concrete park that allows bikes and take a look at the damage after only like, 6 months.  and the fact that trucks and pegs are being made out of the same thing is completely irrelevant...trucks arent being dropped into flatbottoms with all the weight being centered over an inch and a half diameter peg. or an angular pedal.  plastic is really the only saving grace here, and i feel like very few are embracing that.

dude ive had that almost same story happen to me. i had just gotten comfortable airing out, i wenand did a hit off the qp and right as im comin down i see a kid riding towards me. right as my rear tire hitswe collideand we hit so hard my frame got twisted and my bike was toast

i feel you man, im a fruitbooter and when i see bikers trying to take a run i usualy just sit tight for a bit. its kinda like skatepark courtesy, if a biker wants to take a run let them so they won't hit anyone

I just learned this recently but alot more high end BMX's are embracing plastic because it slides better, is lighter weight and is almost as strong as the metal ones

that i can sorta agree with, but as far as grinding goes, if done corectly does the same damage as trucks. but there are morons and newbs out there that lean inn too much and the end of the peg digs in, i hate this just as much as skaters cause i know after a while of someone doing that it gives bikes a bad name. and i run plastic pedals and love em, had plastic pegs for park, but then i got sick of changing back to my metal ones for street, and tried out the plastic on street broke 3 out of the 4 in one sesh, where as my metal pegs have lasted 2 yrs and still going. some parks allow bikes but without pegs, like denver its a 75$ fine per peg.

not really. bikes take totally different lines through the park than skaters or rollerbladers, they are fucking dead silent so you dont hear them coming, they are going way faster usually, and obviously the bike fucks you up more than just body to body
