i agree with this guy.
there is also pretty much no difference in photo quality between the d40 and d60 that you will notice. like they said, it adds megapixels (which are very unnecessary), a higher iso (which creates too much noise), and this feature called active d-lighting (which makes the camera take twice as long to process pics and is kinda pointless). And neither one has an internal autofocus motor. if your sticking with one of those, get the d40 and get yourself some nice glass. I've heard great things about the new 35mm f/1.8 AF-S lens for those cameras, so that could be a good choice for a "normal" lens. but i like the d70 idea
