stupidest thing ive seen in a while.
those squeeze brakes wouldnt hold up on ice or any variable conditions. then whatever city-slicker gets owned on the hill and gets a boo-boo is gonna file a lawsuit
Not to be the pessimist here, but that is a horrible invention.
1) It is ineffective: as someone pointed out, it took him a solid 15 feet just to spot when going 5 mph on a flat surface. I don't think one would ever spot on even a moderate blue slope going 15 mph. Ever.
2) It is completely cumbersome. It would be such a nuisance to have hold those little triggers all the time. It would make using the lift a hassle.
3) If they were to somehow become popular, it would be outlawed by mountains. What even one in every four people had that? Your average groomer would become a black diamond for the people on the bunny and intermediate trails, just the people who would be using them. It would be full of huge divets and craters.
I respect someone for trying to be innovative, but it is funny that someone didn't put enough think-tank time in before hitting the R&R phase of the product. Oh well :)
and you forgot those wires would be in the way all the time to
thats hilarious
It wouldn't be any worse than holding poles. However, I still completely agree with everything else you said. They are worthless and promote reckless skiing. Someone would get them thinking they could stop whenever they want and end up going too fast and injuring themselves or someone else. But I do think it would be extremely funny to see a gaper trying to use them on the bunny hill. I'd probably lol.
Yeah those are sweet!!! Take off switch and drop those things right at the top of the lip; bang, istant switch triple back flip. Just don't forget to let go. Landing switch with those things down would be unpleasant.
