This is for all the long distance runners on NS. I know there have got to be some of you on here


Heres my favorite:

Haha 5 mph?  That is honestly terrible.  The forward crawl takes no more skill than running.  It is moving your arms and your legs forwards and backwards.

The butterfly?  No more coordination than hurdles or the steeple chase.

You can't argue that running is not a sport but swimming is, when it is a race in different mediums.  As a whole, the sports are nearly identical.

yea but the kids on good teams could run 3 times as far as non-runners and still be faster, i'd love to see one of your real varsity sport guys run a 15:30 5k, or a sub 2:10 800, given the teams that suck are comedically bad, but i think its unfathomable how fast the good guys are compared to outsiders. And as for not able to make another sport, I played 2nd team soccer as a freshman and sophmore before destroying my knee and quitting because the coach was a dick, I was also an all state rugby player frosh year, so i dont really know where you get your classifications from.

LOL at the kids who have NO idea what it takes to be a runner.

I'm not a runner myself, but I train with them every day, being on a track team. I read the hate in this thread and chuckled.
