Flat Down Flat

***First of all dont give me hate messages for not puttin this up on build-a-jib cause i did before i put this up and it wasn't any help*** so here it is... Im thinkin about makin a flat down flat for my backyard... i already have a 15 footer made from 2 PVC's (check my pics) and i wasn't sure how long the dimesions should, be how much of an angle for the kink, and if i should use PVC again, ect... plaese help me out

to start build-a-jib cult.
second, use pvc the whole way so theres no speed changes.
make it in 3 sections, you might not even need a down rail, just use somthing to prop it up.
im to lazy to answer the rest/

read the description i already did and no one is interested in the post...

anyways im worried that after the down part my edges will just get caught up in the transition to the flat and i will just eat it everytime

I also have a ten foot strip of HDPE from my box left over and i could easily get more... should i use that instead of PVC

definitely.
pvc has a tendency to break.
it is pretty durable....
 but if you put the coping right on some HDPE or UMHW, that thing isn't going anywhere.

Me and buddies had a dfd/fdf made outta PVC, it cracked at the kinks after 1 sesh.

It was unexpected b/c all of the other PVC rails have held up much better!

Did you bend the PVC?  If so thats why it broke. Post up some pics please.

y would you ever bend PVC, thats just doesnt make sense. its way better to make separate sections and put them together.

For the copping problem, they sell pvc edging, which i have never worked with, but it sounds good. anything is better than aluminum (mistake i made with my first box).

Instead of pvc you can use a galvanized steel gutter type thing. Screw it in on the side and cut the side for the kinks. It works well if waxed and you can just use a 2x4 frame.

do this looks way more durable than pvc and its more like the regular rails in parks or even handrails
