can you compare two different boots
no
go to a boot fitter and get a boot that fits
thought I'd add my 2 cents.Currently I have 09 spk kaos and previously I had dalbello Rampages. I liked my previous boots but when I needed to replace them a new pair of Dalbellos was 3 times the price of the Spks. So, I decided to go with Spks this season. Firstly I definately noticed the lack of precision I got from the spk in icier conditions when compared with the dalbellos I had previovusly. In pow I still really liked the spk and I must say they are very comfortable (apart from a bit of tightness over the instep).
However next season Full tilt is making a wider boot than what they have produced previously. (98mm last vs 102mm last (width) in the 09/10 model Hot dogger and booter and maybe classic?)(last means width across the widest point of your foot ie; 102mm is wider than a 98mm boot).
I think these new 102mm boots will be so sick.
Firstly the full tilt boots are lighter than ANY other alpine boot.
Secondly, they have a smooth progressive flex which helps limit shin bag, no matter the temperaturre.
Thirdly they come with intuition liners which are lighter, more mouldable, warmer and more COMFORTABLE than other liners.
And lastly these boots are endorsed by some of your favourite riders.
I do like my SpKs but Im sure I will love next years Hot Dogger.
Bottom line- IF you have a foot that looks like a paddle go SPK, If it looks like a skeleton, go FULL TILT.
thats what i did and i got lucky. haha i love my spk's.
dont do what i did though. really stupid decision.
