I was just saying. A friend of mine is a tattoo artist and when he was apprenticing in New York they would bring in homeless guys to practice on. They [the homeless guys] would always be super stoked at a chance to get a free tattoo.

hrm, when i was going to apprentice i was told to get the pigs skin from a butcher, not a live pig. this is new to me, and though they're probably asleep when the get inked, that's not a fun pain to wake up to...

there was an article in vice a few years back about a guy who would tattoo really young pigs and as they grew the tattoos would stretch and deform, ending in some real wicked designs. I'll try to find it.
