Help please , need to grow some balls

i keep pussying out on tricks.
i never pussy out on spins on jumps or onto boxes etc so spining onto things is fine but when every i try 2 sw up on like a flat down or a realy long rail i just pussy it.
any of you had this problem and if so how did u fix it , its getting realy annoying

Practice sliding smaller stuff with your other foot forward so you get used to the feel. Then work on sw.ups on smaller stuff and work your way up.

Ok revision jk. Just picture the trick in your head. Focus all of your energy on it. Block out the thought suggesting that you will pussy out and do what you visualized. All it takes is focus and confidence.

but really, practice on small stuff and work your way up. and when you finally do try switch ups on a big rail you'll be ready

I had exactly the same problem.

And the way i overcame it was to THINK LESS

all the way down the in-run, i'd be thinking about my speed, how much pop and spin i'd need, what would happen if i fell etc, that by the time i reached the kicker onto the rail, i had totally zoned out.

So, look at the rail ahead of you, and let the music take you away, and when you reach the rail, just do what comes naturally, and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

ya man, i find that thinking about it doesnt work all the time. what i try to do is just start going and just keep my mind blank (of course you have to like practice maybe on something smaller or on the ground to get the movement), then i land and im like oh... i did it, or i fall and then i realize wow that wasnt that bad. so just mind a bit blank dont think to much and just go

think of it this way, the worst that could happen is you land falling from less than 3 feet up onto snow, going 1/2 as fast as you would off a jump.

and do stuff that gets you in the zone

for some it's music, for me that distracts me, i need the sound of the air and the ambience, or else for some reason i fuck up

IDK when I'm really high and trying new stuff I always end up just thinking "Fuck it, most of these peple can't even slide a rail, I don't need no fucking switch up, I look cool enough already.  Hey look, those chicks are totally checking me out.  Man this bassline is aw-oops, FACEPLANT!"  lol

practice to get confident.

dont try a rodeo 5 if you cant 7 and backflip.

just get your tricks. trying tricks asap is overrated.
just take your time the tricks will come.
once you get super confortable on 360 you will be able to throw them on anyjump and you will eventually land a 540...

the only thing that s real scaary is to go jump a big ass jump for the first time...


oo and spring skking helps.
soft snow = less scary ^^

Find a dance floor box or a nice short like 10 foot box. Jump on as normal, but think to yourself "ok as soon as my skis the box POP and spin" then before you know it you're off of the box. The trick is to pop your sw up as soon as you land on the box, the longer you wait, the harder it is.

just do backside switch ups when hitting the rail normal. Less edge pressuring and thinking. I like them better anyways when I am just trying to get a trick on a rail.
