I agree..I'm from Plymouth, NH which is like an hour from Tucks and I go up there quite a bit, but only when the conditions are right and there is low avi danger. I was up a couple weeks ago thinking there was low ice fall danger and low avi danger, got up there, sat on the lunch rocks to enjoy a sammich and boom, a huge chunk of car-sized ice breaks off and breaks all over the lunch rocks. Luckily everyone was smart enough to find cover under a rock, but it was a close one.
I guess what i'm trying to say is that Tuckerman's is a pretty unpredictable place and as much as you think you're prepared for it, anything can happen. At least that's my opinion.
