Feasibility of Turf Jump

So my brother and I have started building a turf roll in for our summer setup this year. Right now it is at about 7 1/2 feet, but I don't get enough speed to catch really any air off of a shitty jump we made.

What are the possibilities of lifting the roll-in up a couple of feet, smoothing out the transition from the roll-in to the jump, so that we can catch some air instead of doing rails all the time?

Note: We are also going to put snowfence onto the the ramp and use water and soap for speed.

Let me know your thoughts.

i have to think you might want to keep it pretty slick, seems like a good way to fuck up your knees

You would have to perfectly stomp it. Speed might be a problem. I tried this last year, it did not really work with my slow drop in.

your gonna fuck up your knees if you just have turf or something on a hard ground landing maybe get a water mattress or two to put under the turf but that still probably wont work because you have the landing be super slick
