Soccer Cleats FML

So I just got some Adidas Predator Powerswerves, size 11, online. They're dope, but they're really tight. After playin for like an our, my toes hurt pretty bad...but cleats are supposed to fit tight.

I think it's too late to return them, sooo how well do Predators pack out? Will they mold to my foot soon?

yeah if they're leather they pack out a good amount, i have super wide feet and predators work fine for me, you just have to wear them a lot

u will be alright man, but what i suggest doing is wear the cleats with no socks on in the shower for like 20 min, and keep them on for like a little while after that, u will be surprised on how good this method works, i did it for my nike zoom air 90's or something or other, and they fit real nice after that, prevents blistering also, hope that helps

o yeah and if they r kangaroo leather which i believe they are, they will pack out, i had a pair of mundial team turfs that packed out form a 7.5 to an 11, then i got new ones

only do that if you wear them until they dry
what you do is put super thick socks on, wear them in the shower, let them dry for the most part with the thick socks, and then take them off and they'll take the rest of the night to dry so shove tons of newspaper in them to keep them loose otherwise they'll shrink a lot and become even smaller

all cleats (except maybe the new ronaldinho's, they pretty much came broken in) hurt like a bitch until theyre broken in. just give it time

Like everyone said, they should pack out. Get some leather treatment so when the kanga leather gets all soft it doesn't rip.

But I wouldn't buy cleats on line again dude. Go to your local soccer store. Not only will they fit you correctly but they'll have a much better return policy. And even if you realize they don't fit after you can return them, just take the cleats to some concrete and tell the shop they busted and you want your money back.

i tried that wit my predators last year...didnt work. but as no steeze said, theyre leather so they are gonna stretch out a little. if your foot isnt growing right now, then its a better idea to have em kinda tighter. i have the nike vapor SL. those are super tough cleats and just absolutely nasty and i wore them in the shower and they mold to your feet. but yea, wear em around the house or whatever but break em in so you dont get blisters when it comes time to play. i always take about 2 weeks to break my cleats in but when i had predators i didnt need to break em too much cuz they never give me blisters. but on the other hand, i have always had to break in my vapors and all cleats are different on everyone.

Also what i did when i first got my cleats, is wore my old cleats for the first half and then the second half i wore my vapors too see if i need to break them in a little bit more.

But overall, if your foots not growing, then its fine to have tighter cleats so dont stress it, they will stretch cuz they're leather.

yeah predators are the easiest cleats i've ever broken in, they worked perfectly. on the other hand nike vapors raped the shit out of my feet, i had blisters covering the back of my heels that were like 1/8 of an inch deep

yea, when i had the regular vapors...blisters right away so i just used this special oil and band-aids that are like skin. but with the sl's no blisters at all. from the start, they fit just like a glove.

after going from kangaroo leather to vapors in the middle of the season (diadora's tore cus i was lazy and didnt oil them) i sat out for 5 days not being able to walk. it fucking sucked. i will never get vapors again, no matter how good they have been since.

yea dude, it all depends on the person and how they break em in. People who have wide feet usually have problems with the vapors. People who dont break in vapors for A WHILE also have problems. im talkin about like 2 weeks is a good amount of time for me to break mine in. (wearing them for 20 minutes around the house).

They should break in, but if they don't, try getting baseball glove oil and putting it on them to condition the leather.

dammit, ive showered with them twice and put newspaper in....that's bad??
so Mink Oil sounds the the solution? btw thanks to everyone for all the help so far, much appreciated as these cost me $130
